Thanks for the video. The one thing I didn't do was use acetone (or a similar solvent) on the plastic substrate that failed because that plastic is easily melted by solvents. I sanded in an "x" pattern with 8 grit, cleaned with isopropyl, then compressed air, then with a small butane torch. 
Doesn't matter though, as my bond had a strenth of ZERO, and that guy never got that result in any of his tests.
