I agree with Ted about how the fruits of our labor being removed from us is what steals meaning from our lives. Was that the fault of "technology"? To be specific I would blame industrial manufacturing and fiat currency. If we get our luxury space communism technology then the meaning can be recovered, right? If we have the technology to survive as individuals then the meaning isn't as easily stolen from us (but then we may get mogged by collectivists)
