I can see why precise crimp joints are the way to go.
I was involved with some poorly designed budget track cars a while ago. They had turbocharged 4 cylinder engines and the vibration was destroying all the wiring on the engine. Injector connectors were breaking, sensor connectors, the mechanisms in the fly-by-wire throttle bodies were breaking. It was not fun.
