A thelema goddess based on the Whore of Babylon. She basically represents Matter (as in Matter/Mother). Representing the seduction of realizing oneself materialistically and how that leads to more materialization (birth, etc...)

They use her to seek materializing the immaterial. Such as the Babalon Working ritual (portrayed in Strange Angel).

Mary as a vessel of the son of God is not unlike it, which is why the Western Sufis worship Mary. But Babalon is more self-aware or self-destructive.
