plenty of autistic people are functional and have self esteem (sometimes tons of it) and a sense of purpose and direction. that's what sets apart the normies from le underclass imo, not their taste in media or a diagnosis. you'd think it could be fixed with a little psychological alchemy, just by reframing things in your mind, but in my experience forgetting/ignoring tons of (very) negative feedback isn't that easy in practice
