Seth Aaron Rogan was born and spent his childhood in Vancouver. His mother Sandy was a social worker and his father Mark was the assistant director of the Jewish public organization Workmen's Circle. Seth has a older sister, Danya, who also does social work.

In 2004, she started dating the actress and writer Lauren Miller. They met at the time he worked for the Allie G show. The two were engaged on 29 September 2010 and married on 2 October 2011 in Sonoma. Miller's got small parts in some Rogan movies.
