New earth has nothing really to do with this earth, it's meant to be run by Gensokyo. But the Sakuya character with the included Jack-The-Ripper magic is a part of Gensokyo. If you don't want to use the remote that's fine. If you don't want the module that's also fine. It just means you will be nudged to correct yourself from outside instead. You're still going to live neighbour with Jill-The-Ripper on the new earth, because it's part of the lore, so it is relevant.
