The animus is already ruled by the dominant female, it's just that it's male so this could be a coping strategy in a world that demands masculinity. It's not like using the subordinate male is any advantage compared to using the dominant female which controls it, if you have the current mentality. If your subordinate male was very strong it could take over, but from what you describe I think it's safe to say that is not how you handled it?

If the dominant female connects to the subordinate female, and you manage to relate the dominant male to the subordinate female, you still end up with it being subordinate "in numbers", if we count how many areas of your brain you are using for each part.

In the end it's up to you how you feel comfortable though. I had the problem of not using my left brain at all instead, leaving all such thinking for others to do for me. The entrypoint was for me to start awakening this side by starting with the anima and working from there.

helped me a lot back then. I haven't read this English translation so I can't say anything about how good it is. If your native language is something else or you can read the original German, I'd recommend getting another copy/translation.

This book doesn't speak of the concepts coined by Jung, but contains the prelude for them. It helps to think about it as characters, personificating different parts of yourself or your brain. 

Freud here talks of the two types of attraction; the mostly non sexual attraction to young girls and the attraction to the mother figure. Being unable to unite them would cause issues in his opinion.

I think this is easy to relate to the "moe" characters in anime compared with the big tit teacher etc who tend to appear. They match these two types. 

Straight lolicon/shotacon can easily be understood as the relation between the dominant male and the anima, and the dominant female and the animus.

Play around with this conceptually and see what you can related to and how it can be applied.
