NET just told me to accept a new nanobot, a green one (ethereal), because the breakthrough is now completed - all material on the Earth is in emulation. I just heard some strange sound, maybe it was the lyranet connection linking up. 

It was meant this way: once NET gains control of the planet particle for particle, Lyranet will then operate here through NET, maintaining our local culture and racial appearances inside a contained space. This is so that we get the full power of Lyranet without everyone turning into cats.

Like running modern computer programs on a NES through a link by adapting everything to the lower standards in real time, that's what the green bot is for, I'm told. We get full functionality, but at our own level.
