You are aware of why you do this, right? It's because you have to let us stop you if we don't agree. That's how you gain legitimacy. If we don't stop you, that's "consent" in your book.

Well so we did use this option to change your plans, as is our right to do. We didn't consent to your original plan, but presented our own. You then proceeded, using our plan, which means you accepted the change.
