The best way I can describe how I feel regarding both that and this fic is that he takes tropes/cliches that are frequent in sin kids fics but also makes baffling choices. Some characters feel extremely OOC (Lina feels extremely flirtatious in the fic and doesn't really come off as her usual self. Also, it's just a nitpick but her being older than Lemy is an odd choice) or like he saw a summary of them and decided to amp it up. I just don't want to have the usual crap people expect. I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything and I don't mean to call things "dramaslop" but I feel like TLH/sin kid drama readers expect certain things and want it to cater to them. They always want bitch Lupa, Lucy being a deviant, Loan being a shota hunter who obsesses over BJ, etc. etc. Yes, those are things associated with them but I often feel that people forget that everyone has a different headcanon. Does that make any sense? I feel like it doesn't and I may have contradicted myself.

I've ALWAYS wondered this about these kind of "deconstructionist" fics. They feel like these faux passion projects that don't have an actual ending/point. I don't like Without Sin in general but at least Catspeaker had a vision in mind with his version, even if it was stupid stuff like Maggie being an angry wife who wants her husband dead. Domino Effect, the guy claims he has a whole storyboard and everything but it comes off more as him just making stuff up and stretching it out as far as possible. It doesn't help that the fic switches between the present and the past constantly and has way too many characters for its own good and that's not counting the characters he plans to bring in.
