I need some sleep as well. But hell, I've been writing and reading fanfics for like 18 years at this point. I don't suppose the reason or drive is any different now than it was then: I do it because I get attached to these fictional words and want to see things happen that the original either can't or didn't. I'm just not as crap at it as I was back then.

Starting out, even as crappy as possible, you'll still find some praise, but plenty of criticism. I'd say it's not about the feedback, although it is nice and sometimes helpful, it's more about making something you want to see in the world. It kept me going, I assume it keeps others going too.

I'm not sure what you mean by "get it". Capturing the tone of the Loud House as a cartoon? Or the characters?
