I feel like sometimes there are interpretations of a character in art where if you do them too out of character they just don't register as the same, you know? Like, "this character wouldn't readily do this so it's not the same thing". Like an artist can draw a character I like doing something bad for them and there's just no reaction in me because it's like "well that wouldn't happen though".
