I used to think otakus had overblown the issues too, but then I found out about a bunch of high profile craziness in Canada like when they made child sex dolls illegal and arrested a guy for buying one:

A man ordered a doll from Japan and the police tracked the package to his house and arrested him for possessing child porn. They knew because the company that makes the dolls is on a police watch list, just like a terrorist organization.

And the Crown say showing the doll in public would constitute displaying child pornography, therefore they wanted to ban the public from the hearing. Canadians are schizophrenic. There can be no other explanation for how they cannot differentiate between a living creature and a non-living rubbery doll. They must look at the doll and hear voices in their heads, and think the doll is crying out to them for help.
But Barbie dolls can be abused too. When will Canada ban all dolls to prevent all possible sexual abuse?
