We were in the mountains over the weekend, it was great! So many stars at night and a clearly visible milky way, tons of satellites too but no shooting stars. Been a while since I've seen one, where did they go? Also fireflies again. They're beautiful as flying lights but the animals are actually pretty nightmarish. The flying male beetles are hard to photograph but the wingless females are easier. They just sit on the ground and give off permanent light. They're really ugly straight outta some alien movie.
