I believe you did. Some things happen concurrently so Ashley's minions have the option to go first or wait, and the Rothé was charging toward them so they moved after it.
I do apologize for the errors and confusion, it will be fixed in a few hours.
The guard's duty is to protect the citizens and with so many other combatants on his side he decided saving the life of a citizen took precedence. The guard probably wouldn't have listened to your coordination anyway, if a citizen dies on his watch, especially if he didn't take the chance to save them, he would have been found negligent. Guards are trained in first aid and he will have advantage on saving dying persons.
