Mage Armor
Shield
Barkskin (lvl2 I'll allow 2 turns)

And other AC boosting spells unless otherwise negotiated hereafter are hereby nerfed to the following stats:

Limited to one round duration
Requires concentration

When reviewing the reasoning behind how the other group's magic casters somehow have better AC than Bear in light armor, granted they have very high dexterity and Bear does not, SheShe and I came across an argument online that basically said magic users are too tanky and negate the martial classes.

The major culprits were "mage armor" a level one mage spell that lasts 8 hours and shield, +5 AC instant effect. Barkskin wasn't mentioned but it also falls under this category though it requires concentration already.

The conclusion was, for the cost of one spell slot (1MP for us) a magic user could magically raise their AC nigh permanently and anyone else they deem needs it.

Gimmicky buffs like this and other potion related variants and any other buffing solutions that are unbalanced will not be allowed in this campaign or SheShe's.

Magic users are meant to be glass cannons and that will remain the case. They have low AC and low HP but high DPS, that's the tradeoff. They can protect themselves or others from attack, but at the expense of basically being tied up by the spell (concentration.)

Magic items and magic armor will continue to be allowed.
