Spells have been boosted for this campaign. You do not need to prepare or memorize spells ahead of time meaning you have access to any spells you know at all times.
You have Spell points, but not the ones in the PHB, this is simpler, add up your spell slots times the tier. That's your Mana Pool (MP). This replenishes by your hit die every hour you rest.
One recent change, spell slots still exist per your character class sheet online, but they're merely placeholders for the number of higher spell tiers you can cast per encounter.
If it says for instance that you have 3 spell slots at tier 1, 3 at tier 3 and 1 at tier 3, that's 3x1+3x2+3x1=12MP which could mean you could cast 4 level 3 spells previously all in one encounter, instead I am limiting it to the spell slots.
This is the spells you could cast in a single engcounter:
Lvl1 12
Or
Lvl1 10, lvl2 1
Or
Lvl1 8, lvl2 2
Or
Lvl1 6, lvl2 3
Or
Lvl1 3, lvl2 3, lvl3 1
(And other combinations that don't exceed the number of spell slots for tier 2 and above.
However, over the course of 4 encounters, you could still cast 4 lvl 3 spells before you run out of MP in this case.
I am doing this out of fairness because NPC's don't "prepare spells ahead of time", nor, "require rest" and potentially have access to every spell in their class which only Cleric enjoys for PCs (I've limited druids)
Just play how you want, don't worry too much, try not to cast more high level spells than your spell slots would have allowed per encounter and keep track of your MP between rests.
