In the end, fires help more than they hurt and promote native plantlife. The closest Bear came to being involved in a fire he was still living at home in 2007 and they were under warning but they didn't end up having an issue. School was canceled for a week. In California, the insurance companies have stopped offering fire insurance in the same way they stopped offering earthquake insurance so it becomes an expensive state sponcered stand alone policy. There's a lot of depth to that subject too.
