It worked here, well mostly. It's still magnitudes cleaner than the rest of SE Asia but I feel it actually got less clean in recent years. People drop large amount of trash but we have a lot of cleaning staff to constantly tidy up everything. Japan is the cleanest I've seen so far. Never been to EU.
