>>/6455/ The northern cavern is half-filled with two large pools of water. A narrow waterfall high in the eastern wall feeds the pool, which drains out the western end of the chamber to form the stream that flows from the cave mouth below. Low fieldstone walls serve as dams normally holding the water in but the level has raised above them. A wide exit stands to the south, while two smaller passages lead west. The sound of the waterfall echoes through the cavern, making it difficult to hear. The den to the south contains plunder from raiding and ambushing caravans. Sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled in the south end of this large cave. To the west, the floor slopes toward a narrow opening that descends into darkness. A larger opening leads north down a set of natural stone steps, and the roar of falling water echoes from beyond. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder. Seven goblin females are resting and see the girls enter with surprise and glee, they reunite and chatter happily. Four goblin younglings sit warily as they see the cats arrive. Two goblin matriarchs look on with confusion. "Oh... I see now." Ashley says as she sees what is basically a goblin breeding den. Many of the females are pregnant. Three wolves are tied to the West and growl at the intrusion. [1d20+3=9] Ashley looks around and sees no sign of ambush, traps or other issues but there's a lot to take in without a thorough search. No sign of webs or spiders here either. As the girls tell them all that happened, many warm up to Ashley and her cats and soon they're smiling and celebrating in their own way. Ashley's kind of stunned by this now that she sees so many, not to mention the smell. Goblin elder1 approaches Ashley with hands outstretched, obviously trying to begin a treatise, she speaks with authority and respect. Goblins and Elves are related, whether elves would dare admit it or not, so as such even goblin elders look youngish and goblin females look relatively the same age, they have a certain charm in a certain light though no documented half-goblins exist regardless of the father being a goblin nor the mother, so it may be impossible. The younglings are clearly very young children however and the girls are practically pre-pubescent. The goblin males are hideous by comparison, with much sharper features and lanky frames.
