>>/6462/ >>/6463/ >>/6470/ > Alice continues to look for the spider while making giant spider noises to attract it, mostly ignoring the goblins and their reaction to her spear decorated with goblin ears As the other goblins see her, some find her amusing, some disturbing, but none find her threatening and that's good as far as they're concerned. The wolves eye her, snarling when she approaches, unable to escape their bonds. They eventually entertain themselves by chewing bones and wrestling. >>/6475/ The goblins see her as the largest and therefor the mightiest and naturally assume she's the leader. The elders approach her and get on their knees. Through their broken common tongue, they ask for mercy and pledge their assistance in whatever matter they can be of use and offer the spoils in the south of the cave for her to take as she see fits. >>/6478/ > Please talk to them to find out what this is all about. I am still confused about their relationships [HISTORY 1d20+1=9] From what Ashley knows about history, and it's not much, she tells Cat and Yulya that when goblins lose their leader, they would rather give up than fight, she doesn't think they pose any threat. Ashley walks over to the elders and Cat, she awkwardly collects her thoughts, "So uh, what do you all want to do?" [1d4=4,1] [1d20+1=8] Whether they're being truthful or not isn't clear to Ashley but they tell more about goblin culture, the culture is patriarchal, and domineering, they're owned rather than partnered and the strongest are revered and followed. Not having a leader doesn't bother them except for when another goblin male comes he will get them, so there will eventually be males coming. They'd happily stay in the cave of course, they would naturally gather and forage until hunters arrive. All in all they seem to take the fact that everyone was killed in stride and don't hold any grudge against anyone, death is a very natural part of goblin life and they didn't like the hobgoblins anyway. They have loyalty only to whoever is the strongest immediately in front of them, no one else. They could care less about kings or spiders, they don't even know much about them. The elder matriarchs are concerned only with the health of the women and children, they're also very grateful for reuniting the girls, it is often true that young goblin girls are separated and sold or traded with other tribes. They never expected they'd see them again and very surprised they were still in the cave. The men provided all the food and didn't let them leave this chamber. The children present have never left the chamber you now reside. > Like we did for the killed noble. Ashley scratches her head, "Yeah but we only really told Freya and she kept it a secret, didn't you read that report? It wasn't exactly truth." > Do not worry it will be alright. We killed more than enough and this should impede their ability to attack travelers. If it happens again we will come again. The elders seem to brighten, they understand that this means they don't need to leave and they will now have reign, no matter how temporary, of the whole cave as well as being allowed to go outside and that's thrilling to them. They announce to everyone and soon they're all cheering. The elders again offer anything they have to those who are the strongest. There is a large stash of supplies to the south. Ashley is pleased with this outcome, she nods and smiles then her and her cats mingle with the children and the girls circle around. They're wary of the lynxes but Mr. and Mrs. Bigglesworth are snuggled and pet to exhaustion. You all see, in this rare glimpse, one of Ashley's aspects, even with these strange green people, she's playful, charming and funny.
