> Heh, you're really good at this!
"I've got +10 luck."
> Hey, while you're in a gold rush, I found a little more money with the goblins before those riders arrived. 250cp and 10sp to be exactly so here's 4sp and 4cp!
> Alice hands her the coins
> Can't it be a warm forest or something?
Tharden speaks with a hushed tone to Alice. "It's not yet been confirmed but there's also a foul magic in the air around the mine, it's said that the temperature hasn't crested above freezing for days, it's colder now than it was mid-winter. We're going to need to sort that as well. This cold snap has lasted far too long."
> Soo, before Ashley deals with this question let me ask you - how much does scouting your mine pay us? Rescuing Gundren is one thing but we won't do this for free. Neither will anyone in Neverwinter. You don't expect us to pay for a quest right?
"Aye I'm expecting a scout mission for four level 3's is 25 gold, clear it and I'll double it. You're all level 3's right?"
"Not yet, but soon." Ashley comments, "We need an oracle or orb."
"I wouldn'a know," Tharden strokes his beard, and mutters to himself "such things canna be trusted, only stone and iron is true." He leans in again, "The guild wants their cut, if you don't go through them, 75 gold could be headed you way, take care of this without them and that's what you'll get. That's my word and if you accept it, that's what I'll pay." He glances warily at Ashley, "Not a penny more and I want proof, head to the throne room and collect the Amethyst heart."
The Amethyst heart is a special offering to the drawven god Dumathoin, though it's more of a superstition than any real belief on their part. The stone would be placed on an alter in the most inaccessible, deepest part of the mine. Presumably, if you can retrieve that, then the mine is clear.
"No sense in anyone else profiting from our claim. Honestly, I think it's more likely claim jumpers."
> Hey, can we borrow Gundren's cart?
Tharden shakes his head, "I cann'a offer my brother's possessions."
> Where did you put the contents of the backpack you took here for us?
Sildar looks under the table and hands over your bag.
