I'm going to be optimistic and say I think I figured out why my truck has been fuel starved for the last 10 years. I may have adjusted the fuel pressure regulator too low.
The symptoms have been consistent between different carburetors and even different intake manifolds.
We'll see.
I replaced my fuel pump 7 years ago because it was fuel starved and it never really fixed but the pressure has been rock solid. Only I think the gage is inaccurate and it's been wrong for the whole time.
I bought a new carburetor and it had the exact same symptom, then exgf told me it had to be something not the carburetor. So I turned up the pressure regulator and it started working better. But we will see.
Also my poor exhaust manifold flanges look like they've been overheating for 7 years... my bad.
