Some History Channel or Discovery Channel had an interesting theoretical doomsday weapon described as a "Death Star" with a nuclear weapon launched into outer space and detonated with metal pipes pointed towards the earth to cause a lethal worldwide radiation blast. It could be possible or just theoretical.
