I believe I uncovered his true identity.

He is a "freelance journalist" for the Epoch Times and apparently he has worked as a substitute teacher in Wales and had a failed business back in 2007.

A member of the Welsh Lazarou family originally from Cyprus. They own a chain of hair salons, but "Cid" seems to be estranged from his rather large Cypriot [Dönmeh?] family.

I could find plenty of information about the Lazarou family in Cardiff, especially as it pertains to their family business, but precious little about Cid. [What the fuck kind of name is "Cid" anyway? Don't sound Greek to me...] He seems to be estranged from his family and reclusive.
Personally, I get a very strong "crypto" vibe from that family. For starters, Adam shows up a lot as a given name amongst them, though "Adam" is unheard of amongst Greeks. Also, RME's own DNA results suggest that he is some kind of Middle Eastern Jew.
