A community cannot survive without some form of gatekeeping or indoctrination. It's a story as old as the world, the pattern repeats. Absolute freedom cannot work without invitation based posting (very prone to death) or discipline among users allowing to nail down and eliminate dissenters with psychological pressure. /AM/ sucked at this because there wasn't any real introductory period, bootcamp or peer pressure for new posters, which under normal conditions wouldn't be all that bad but eventually some untrained personnel started giving terrain to the assailant instead of isolating him.

Make it 2-3. Just because I'm checking the page every now and then doesn't mean I'm going to go all out shitposting again. I don't have the energy or optimism anymore. Complete freeposting model doesn't work with randoms online. It can work on an invitation basis or if you know the people IRL, but those are hardly sustainable in the long run because the creativity juice runs out and isn't resupplied by new people.

I've been trying to finish a list of some 90s stuff that I remember hearing about when I got into anime as a youngster but never watched. It's mostly stuff that ADV had the rights to in the US. 
Silent Mobius
Nazca
Monster
would be the most recent stuff I watched

Nazca and Silent Mobius were pretty standard fare. The latter really didn't go anywhere or have anything I'd call a resolution of the plot. Ended on sort of a cliffhanger. Two movies but they're a separate continuity. I don't know if the manga had a proper ending though.

Monster was good, slow burn. Kept me invested throughout. 

Not really sure what's next on the list for me tbh. I've been whittling away at Monogatari stuff for awhile but can only do about half or a whole season/series before I put it back down.

With One Piece winding down allegedly I may start the anime from the beginning but that might not be for ahwile.

Kimagure Orange Road and Fushigi Yuugi are probably the next two up.
