it really amazes me that /AM/ was/is good. 4chans /a/ board always sucked. so did 8/a/.

When I loose kibou I go to my /aM/ thread folder and reminiscent so I'm ureshii it worked for you too. 
There were actually two other purposes to the thread (not counting showcasing /aM/ rich and developed culture). First was me fishing for content I missed and I got some of that, thank you. Other thing was I started getting anxious that you dudes are actually gone and only me and one other dude were left here. Maybe not everyone but you're still here and with that combo about pretending to be newfags just a while ago you had me laughing like in the old days. You're still dangerous /AM/. That's not an excuse. When 8/int/ went to shit and nobody thought it would ever regain it's 2014-era glory, it made the most legendary comeback in imageboard history with /intl/ which was far superior anyways. Even 4chan, users of which to this day obsess over the illustrious pre-08 era, continued (and continues) to make good content in spite of the whiners and rulefags.

Absolutely no offense to  odilitime/endmin, but admittedly endchan is a dead end site. It will probably never get any exoduses that will launch us to the premiere anime board of a successful website, and the constant dead images don't help at all. I think we need to review our options and consider putting effort towards starting a completely new IB a la samachan. Just my two cents.

There's nothing holding anyone from developing new memes. There's been no reliance on past achievements. There's no whining against new content. 
If /am/ had only been focused on it's bright future how come it used cultural capital like Chaika, Jojos, spurdos and 2hus, among other things, and all related memery that came with them? 
Was that a first imageboard experience for every one of you or were you trying to emulate something you've already felt before and built upon it? 
/intl/ did that sort of doomsaying too, look where it is now. It's only over when you give up.

We used it briefly. It started off alright, some efforts towards original content, board identity, but quickly degenerated into yet another stale /a/ clone, much like Tohno-chan /a/, 8/a/, fufufu, meguca, etc.. where every show has it's stuffy little general thread and anything interesting or slightly off-topic is deleted and banned, or at least heavily discouraged and ignored by the userbase. /z/ is a bit better, but it's little more than a 4/jp/ clone IMO.

Well it's not "great" but, apart from the funny OC, the repeated misunderstanding and the silly meme-ified exchanges make it reminiscent of absurd threads which were ten a penny in olden days, at least to my mind. It may be easier to find the comedy in it if you give each poster its own voice, perhaps read it aloud, and apply to each a the characteristic flavor of the persona they seem to represent. In other words, give them life, enact the scene.

Hi I've been struggling with shitpostile dysfunction since mid 2016 but I can tell you one thing. A lot of it is just in your mind. I was able to make some shitposts and OC that I laughed while making despite my ailment. It usually goes like this: something happens on the board, I remember a thing I could use or get an idea just like that without trying and then it's just execution. So first you need to be relaxed, don't fix yourself on thinking what to post or that you can't seem to bring yourself to post anything. If you do that your shitpost attunement will naturally rise and if circumstances are right you'll be able to shitpost, even effortpost without much premeditation. A fun oriented atmosphere around the board also helps. 
Starting a new thread is still a problem though with that technique.
Also it's still WIP but apparently if you manage to reach a certain level of lucidity in a dream you can request to see a hilarious thing. If that supply of humor can be harnessed for the /AM/pire we can yet turn the tides of this war in our advantage.
