It's interesting to me to chat with you. I sometimes get attacked by stray dogs when I'm feeding them. On Taiwan streets, there were mostly stray dogs and cats but due to the development of cities, there are less stray animals now. And we don't see many stray animal in parts. In the countryside there are some cows and there are bears, hogs and some animals I don't know about on the mountains.
Is it ok that you did not sleep all night? it should be about moring there? Remember that good kids do have enough sleep. hug

There's >>>/miku/ (with 2 ゆかり fans and 1 琴葉 fan) and Vocalounge. IA has songs made by foreigners, some of the songs using her English voicebank. The Voiceroid games on Steam ("Dungeon Crusher Kiritan", "The Kotonoha Sisters and Legend of Lysant Island") also have English comments. Too bad about Kotonohas English not catching on though.

How are you going to plan your weekend? Yesterday I went to restaurant with my family to get some spaghetti and pizza. Can you accept the thing that there are pineapples on the pizza?
Btw what I like to chat are things about daily life. Sorry it might be a little boring

What did ya get on your pizza!?
It was really funny the few times I looked up Pizza Hut in China and Taiwan, the toppings weren't actually any different, or exciting, but some of the side dishes they offered were funny, but looked really good.
My favorite pizza toppings are pineapple, ham, black olives, and pepperoncini peppers!
This weekend I'm watching a ton of anime it seems, promised a friend I'd finish watching Macross.
Sunday I have shooting practice with a small shooting match league.

Black olives are the spirit of the pizza. I like the combination of cheese, tomato sauce and black olive. I've seem a lot strange favors of pizza in Taiwan. The most impressive one is the spicy hot pot pizza although it tastes not like pizza at all. feels like spicy beef slices with cheese and tomato.
Is it handgun shooting? I've not touched any gun since I quit the job. Taiwanese people can hardly experience the fun in shooting. Although I'm not a sharp shooter.
How do you compete shooting there? Is it limit-timed, range or having some type of target sheet?

Yus! I've seen spicy hot wings, or spicy beef be common toppings here. Or even just hot sauce on the cheese. Personally I really like spicy foods, so those are pretty great too. Do you like spicy?
Handgun and rifle. I have no idea what Taiwan's policy on firearms is, but I assume it's very restrictive. Though, isn't military service compulsory? And, weren't they trying to give a lot of people firearms training? Least, that's what we're told here, that something along those lines is happening for geopolitical reasons.
> is it timed, or some type of target sheet?
It's various drills, sometimes shooting at steel man shaped targets, sometimes shooting at paper.
The match I go to seems to have an obsession with hostage targets. Two man shaped steel or cardboard targets, one with the head over the shoulder of the other. I'm a bad shot, so I've shot the hostage rather than the correct target a couple times...
Others are speed drills shooting targets at varying distances. One at 10 meters, one at 25, one at 50. Or a plate rack, with seven plates that you have to shoot to knock down, quickly as you can.

I like it spicy!! Although I can't bare too spicy. I've seem some chinese food video and I found that they like a lot things spicy like spicy vegetable, noodle and even food with rice.
Taiwanese seldom do this.
Taiwanese government's current policy is that guns are banned for everyone but some gangsters import some guns which cannot fire bullets and modified them with firing ping and rifling to make it deadly and it's breaking the law.

Your training seems more interesting. Here the police basic training is that we shoot the target from 10~15 meters away. The target sheets are humanoid target or bullseye target. And shoot with reloading action and from standing to keeling or some simple move around to right/left side.
There was a chance for me to shoot the rifles but I quit before it. We only bring rifles to guard for some serious rummage. We're normally equipped with handguns with 24 rounds for male officer and 20 rounds for female officer.
I fired rifles when I'm serving in the army. With targets 175 meters away and only prone firing position. I wish I could try full-auto or burst firing but I couldn't or I get punished.

Good! You'll improve as long as you keep practice. You could practice with bb guns at courtyard. It's more convenient and quiet.

Japan seems to also be adverse to spicy things, or at least excessively spicy. It's funny to see other countries like American fast food so much, like burgers and pizza, when it feels like burgers and pizza are mocked so much. Don't you have a favorite Taiwan/Chinese dish too?
Kinda figures that's what the law would be. I wonder if the 3D printed firearms have started to show up there, too, like they are in Myanmar, and even here.

It's very fun, but it sadly proves how bad I am at it, and that I need way more practice. My brother can out shoot me easily, but he's had slightly more training, and actual police training too.
Prone and bench rifle shooting is still fun too. Why didn't they ever train you to use the full-auto or burst!? Seems like it might be important to know, just in case.
That's weird they issue less ammo to the female officers, why do they do that?

I like adding spice to the foods to get some stimulation. Besides spicy things are the way to go with beers.
Probably because I'm bored with Taiwanese food. And fast foods are most people's childhood memory so a lot people like fast food.
For Taiwanese food I like those common dishes. Mostly they're just some meat and sea food get fired or fried into dishes. Like the ones in the video. https://youtube.com/watch?v=h-9oOtnD4dM

In my experience, I haven't seem any 3D printed guns. But if there is any, it can be the same process. In short is that we send it to the examination and see if it's deadly. (It fires bullets with over 20 joule kinetic energy.)

Keep going. I believe that you can do better than your brother. It seems like just the matter of experience. Besides you can ask your brother about some technique to enhance yourself?
On the rifles, The reason there's no auto and burst mode has something to do with the law. Taiwanese male are forced to serve the army and so the training and the culture could be closed compare to yours. (I think it has something to do with unfiltered human resource and that make it hard to manage.)

The military officers mostly focus on how it feels in the outside, so for people who did not volunteer the officers only arrange some easier training for them. And the volunteers get more professional training.
I don't know why female police officers get less rounds. I'll answer you when I know why.
Can I ask you for some hug? It makes my day.

Beer and spicy foods are definitely a good match. Do you have a favorite beer?
That would make sense, you eat your own culture's food all the time, so branching out is more fun. It's what I do, I try to make different foods from all over.
> first thing he orders is kung pao chicken
Damn, I was kinda hopin' for something I hadn't heard of yet. I've even cooked some of this myself.

20 joules is pretty low, that's almost bb gun territory.

Definitely! I just need to practice way more, run more drills. And he does, we help train each other where we can.
> I think it has something to do with the unfiltered human resources that make it hard to manage
Have you ever watched the Patlabor movies? One of them, specifically the second one, is actually a social commentary about this. How bureaucracy can ruin the structure and balance of military and police affairs.

I like corona with a slice of lemon, busch, bar and heineken. I haven't tasted a lot food from other countries but I like american food a lot. Kung Pao Chicken is fried chicken nugget with chili and peanuts. It's quite delicious and the smell of chili pepper is good.
I heard Patlabor before but I haven't watched it. I know it's a little old. I will watch it and share my thought but it takes time. It reminds me that there's an anime about the police called ハコヅメ〜交番女子の逆襲〜. How Japanese police officer work is quite similar to how Taiwanese police officer do since Taiwan was one of the colonies of Japan. And we basically copy their system of organization. You can take a look of it if you're interested but it's fine if you're not.
Yes I've been well!

I spent my time playing Overwatch and surf the internet these weekend. I thought you're gone because I said something wrong. I guess I just think too much. Sorry seeing you just makes me happy. ❤️

Western beers, to pair with your Western fast food, I guess... Quite interesting, it continues to feel like there's some cultural opposite day going on. My favorites have been Asahi and Kirin Ichiban. I've also been able to find Tsingtao, and Taiwan Beer at the Asian shopping district here; but sadly both weren't very good, honestly. Corona and lime is also great, one of my other favorites is Modelo, especially their lime y sal chelada.
Mhmm, I've cooked some before. In fact I've kinda tried my hand at a lot of Chinese dishes before, from kung pao and sweet and sour chicken, to 红烧肉 and even 红烧魚 on New Years the last two years (my family was quite impressed with that one). I also want to try my hand at making 松鼠魚, if I can find the right fish for it sometime.
It's fine! If you do get the chance to watch it, I hope you enjoy it. It's really only 機動警察パトレイバー2 the Movie that covers the topic I mentioned. The other parts of the series are just more fun than commentary, so Patlabor 2 is my absolute favorite, and most recommended.
Maybe I'll give ハコヅメ〜交番女子の逆襲~ a watch, I heard of it, and saw previews.

Glad you're well! Hope video games and internet were fun. And no, I was only gone because timezones, and doing other things. I'm fairly hard to offend, so don't worry.

I don’t like fish so I can’t give any suggestion. Spec you’re awesome. You can make those dishes. Tofu dishes are also delicious. It can be fried, fired or make mapo tofu out of it.

I’ll finish Patlabor episode by episode. Starting from the TV series. I think the show is interesting and I’ve finished 2 episodes yesterday. Browsing Komica could be a habit to me. Actually people there are not quite friendly for role players.
Then I can set my mind at ease. Seeing your reply makes me happy. Hug♥

Well then I hope you enjoy the whole thing! Tell me who your favorite characters are as you go. For me it's definitely Goto.
Sounds like any other chan, really. 4chan too was hostile to role-play, or avatar posting like this. So far I've only explored two boards on komica, 掛圖 and 綜合. So it is really rare to see the fans they can't (read Japanese), close to a SSR rate Gacha.

What do you mean by CeVIO translations? The English voicebanks or translations of their videos/songs? I like listening to IA CeVIO English. I've also watched videos with translated subtitles, but they're very rare.
What about other software? Eleanor Forte has a few talking videos. We might also get an English Voicevox... someday.
https://github.com/VOICEVOX/voicevox/issues/542
I also like songs that aren't in English or Japanese, even if the voicebank wasn't made for the language.
I played a little with Eleanor and she's easy enough to use, but don't have anything special I want to use her for. I wish more people would use her. I tried using UTAU for talk and that was a struggle. Using SynthV for talk is much easier.
I don't know how well the /miku/ friends know Japanese.

I've been okay, hope you can say the same, have you?
Sorry it's been a minute, spring break ended, so school started up again, and I don't get home till very late.

I finished watching the original Macross, and watched the movie Do You Remember Love?. Other than that, I just do homework, or play Genshin, so I'm pretty boring most of the time, sorry!

School? Is Spec student? I thought you're an adult already because of something about job.
School break there seems different there. Here our spring break ends after Chinese New Year.
I'm kinda busy these days. sorry. Me and my family went to see the doctor and I cleaned the house.

esterday Resident Evil 4 Remake was released and I watch my GF playing all the night. I like these games but I'm too scared to play and I don't want to play easy mode. Do you play Resident Evil games?
Currently I've only finished 2 episodes of Patlabor. I'll keep watching today. Normally I'm waiting for my GF to come home from work so I can't progress too much. Mostly I do a lot thing with her.
These days I spend my free time and draw something.(the attached picture, it's an old anime.) Drawing things is my habit. Do you want me to draw something for you if you don't mind? ❤️
Shouldn't you give me a hug? I'm kinda missing you. :3

> Anything interesting going on in China?
Recently our government decides to refund the overpaid tax. Approximately 200 USD for one person. I'm thinking how to spend this. I'm considering a better headphone because I need to find out what the notes of the guitar part are played in the song more clearly in order to play it.
How would you spend this money if it was you?

I am an adult, but also a college student. It's become essentially necessary for me to get a degree for any of the jobs I want, even though I've been struggling to be hired by any of them regardless.
But that's not even in spring! That's just a New Year holiday!
That's fine, hope everything is okay, and that you've been enjoying.

A lot of friends and groups I'm in have been playing the new Resident Evil remake as well, they've always been obsessed with the series, yet it's one I've never personally played. Watched a let's play of one, though, kinda like you are now.
Are you gonna start drawing manga (or I think China and Korea call them manhua, right)!?
Sure, what will you draw?
You should save your hugs for your gf! but sure hug

$200usd would probably just go toward gas, and classes for me right now, I wouldn't get to spend it on fun things, but that's fine.
Headphones to practice guitar sound fun though, have a nice pair in mind?

It could have been, I don't remember all the komica threads I post in. I do like finding out what kinds of music you all listen to.

It's the same here, the private universities, with big names and reputations, are very expensive, but the public universities, and jr. colleges are much cheaper.

Yes, in this part of the U.S. you have to drive a lot to get anywhere.

It reminds me that in my last week of university, I only need to go to school for 2~3 days. Mostly I spend my time on video games at my place. How far is it from your place to the nearest supermarket? Mine takes 5 mins of ride.

Good luck learning. I know it’s tough. If you’re really tired you can consider something like vitamin or workout. I take some Vitamin C and B sometimes.
Not bad. I spent my day doing some housework, cook and washed some clothes. Then surfing the internet and drawing things. Do you like holo?

I think vitamin b really wakes me up. Is there always online courses? Me at my college time I have to go to the classroom and there's the roll call. Sometimes I just wanted to skip the class.

Have you tried Deepl? https://www.deepl.com/translator . It's easier for the reader to understand an untranslated text than it is for someone to write in a language they do not understand well. This is the reason I didn't try to say anything not in English. Try just writing in whatever language you want and let me figure it out.

I like this album, 憶香, a lot https://vocadb.net/Al/6614 . The descriptions for the songs with music videos are on bilibili videos, but the description for the whole album is on bandcamp. It makes it more difficult trying to understand it. I especially don't understand why the bandcamp description describes 洛天依 as "sesame paste."

DeepL sucks at English to Chinese for some reason.
Bing and Google get closer, but DeepL seems to really struggle with Chinese, and especially traditional over simplified.

It doesn't trouble. Talking to you makes me happy. You don't have to apologize. Give me a hug instead. I draw another Cloud Retainter. Please take it. ❤️
Do you know Akane? Seems you know a lot people here. Is this the first time you met me(Taiwanese)?

I listened to those western songs with my big sisters when I was a kid. Such as Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Sipce Girls, The Cardigans, Madonna and some songs with Grammy Awards. Probably songs you already hear during your days?
I like Linkin Park after then and several songs with the melodies I like no matter the language or some songs without voice which is suitable to be a lullaby. I like the songs you posted.

I haven't seem any QT in Taiwan. Convenient Stores here sell roasted potatoes and tea eggs. Some sell toasted sandwiches. It's kinda funny.
I only finished 10 episodes and Gotoh seems a good boss. Seeing him with many reckless underling feels tiring. Must be a lot trouble with them. Izumi Noa is cute. Feels like a junior who just graduated. It looks good so far and seems more realism and old anime.

I like coffee with some ice cream in it. It tastes good. You can try it. sometimes a cup of black coffee with ice cube in hot days.
This is my favorite western song and it comes with many versions. I like the Evangelion version the most.(https://youtu.be/w2xi6Qjv8mw)

You sure? Thank you for another amazing picture~! hug
Been well?
I do know Akane. It's not the first time I've seen the Taiwanese users here, but it's the first time I've interacted with any at great length.

Ah, the classic export of U.S. music and entertainment industry, figures. Yeah, all very popular, typical songs here too.
Sometimes it's more fun when you can't understand the language the song is sung in. Then it can be whatever you want, and just sounds good.

I've never had tea eggs, but they sound good. Convenience stores here sell pizza, and hot dogs. Sometimes egg rolls, and tacos.
Goto is used to dealing with his underlings though, he's got a fun way of handling them, and any situation tossed at him.
> Noa is cute
Genki robot girl is very cute! And yes, that's exactly what she is, a junior that just joined the force, and is super excited to be a police officer (and a robot pilot).

Coffee with ice cream, that's one I haven't tried yet.
> Fly Me To The Moon
That's interesting, that particular Sinatra song seems to be very popular in Asia I've noticed. You're not the first.
Reminds me, Final Fantasy used a cover by Sia for one of their games.

The collaborated with another favorite artist of mine to do a cover of Stand by Me, too.

Deepl was better for the lyrics of the album I mentioned, and you can click on the translation to get alternate ones when it doesn't make sense. The important thing is that machine translations are very good for text that is written to be easy to translate.

It is nice when DeepL generates an alternate translation, if it can.
I should just finally sit down and learn enough Kanji to stumble my way though a website.
