I can't say I know the research/statistics, but I feel like missing a father figure is in 99/100 cases going to be EXTREMELY detrimental for your entire life.
People notice the red flags but if it was me I'm not even sure I would know what to do. Call the authorities on her? Seems extreme. Tell her closed ones? They already know.
It's kind of inevitable as you said.
