Completely agree with everything you said and it echoes what I wrote above. I just don't want to judge further and too much out of respect for the family. But yes I do believe Katie needed full institutionalisation, at least in the short term. At the same time I know it's very difficult to put people in some kind of therapy or rehab without them giving full approval. And she was I think an art student and fully out and about. Difficult to control and parents probably hoped she was taking her meds and managing. The online component DEFINITELY didn't help though.
