had another thought on my NEETwalk this morning, about how in the future their will be more women than men because currently it is much more likely that a woman will bear children than a man. this means that men whose sperm produces more daughters than sons will be genetically rewarded with more progeny and those daughter producing genes will proliferate. historically it has been the other way round with more men being born than women, possibly an adaptation to regular wars that benefits the tribe. i think the value of men will rebound in the coming decades because of this.

It sort of is but sort of isn't. There are protected wild areas sure, but Tasmania is quite small so you can never really get too far away from inhabited areas. It is really a very civilised place.
The real wild stuff happens in the interior of the main continent. That is where you go if you want to disappear. Go live in a dugout in Coober Pedy and dig for opals.

i thought about that after i posted my comment actually. the truly wild parts of australia are probably the outback and north west coast. the most recent encounter with wild abbos being in the 1980s absolutely boggles the mind. maybe there are still wild ones out there, probably not but fun to imagine
