Made a dentist appointment. Getting -
- Scale and clean
- Probably will pass on the "fluoride treatment" because its BAD!
- An exam with x-rays to see how many fillings I need because I probs need 6 or more. Haven't had fillings for 10 years or more...
I chose a WHITE doctor, but the practice is quite cheap. The fillings are composite rather than amalgam/silver/with mercury so they are supposedly not toxic...
They also told me their in-house teeth whitening treatment is $699. Not sure if I'll get that later. I'm gonna shop around for the teeth whitening places that appear in shopping centres with the chair booth things you get into. I had that once and it worked well and was cheap, like $100-150.
$150 for the scale and clean and exam, seems very cheap, at another place I paid about $250 for just a scale and clean, the exam was going to be another $200 or even more.
Fillings at this place will be $150-250 each which is also on the cheaper end. I am Aussie ofc.
Trying hard to learn as much about this as I reasonably can so I don't get JEWED.
I brush twice daily, bought a tooth whitening toothpaste (Colgate Optic White) and some strips (HiSmile product and Crest Whitestrips), I'm 1/3 through using the strips and they work but the effect is mild.
Just putting this out there, any advice appreciated. Like recommendations for specific dentists. I'm going to No Gaps Dental with a White doc.
