I was woken at 3am this morning by a man shouting a name over and over again in the street outside my house.
At first I thought he was calling for his dog that must have escaped, and felt a little bit sorry for him even though he was inconveniencing everyone with the noise, but eventually I realised he was actually calling for his missus who had sought refuge from him in a house down the street.
Between shouting for her he was talking to himself a lot and he walked with an odd sort of limp.
I don't know if the missus was even real.
I didn't say anything to him even though he must have woken the whole street up. I could tell he was legit dangerous.

Well as I wrote it in the chat, Alien: Romolus is a trick to make the zoomers involved in the franchise so Hollywood can continue to make money out of it, because they have no new ideas what movies to shoot.
The cast was deliberately young so the zoomers can relate to them. But all the scenes was recycled from previous movies, to make it very "Alieny". It's kind of a reboot of the series.
Plenty of woke because it was made in the woke era still - which we might leave behind slowly.
The looks and aesthetic was very well made I can't argue with that.
I do not like this movie, and gets 3 craps out of 3.

It looked good. It tried for some good scenes, even if it didn't always pull them off.

Since aliens in 1986, many movies have been made that tried to live up to the first 2, and none have done very well. A problem with every single one of them has been poor stories. Maybe it's not possible to write a good story in the franchise anymore? Some talented writers - Joss Whedon, William Gibson, have tried.
