> Thank you for your continued support through your membership, constructive engagement, and commitment to ensuring our collective voice is heard. While the recent legislative outcome was not what we sought, it is important to recognise that unified, principled, and respectful advocacy does make a difference. Together, members at individual, State, and National levels demonstrated unity, wisdom, maturity, and diplomacy throughout this process.
> In South Australia, firearm licence holders are not required to be members of a shooting organisation, meaning our membership consists entirely of individuals who choose to be part of our community. That choice matters. A stronger membership base increases our influence and credibility with decision makers and strengthens our capacity to deliver the services and advocacy you expect. We encourage members to invite likeminded friends and colleagues to join and support the future of our sport and way of life.
> As always, the detail of legislative reform requires careful analysis. It will take time, and appropriate legal and policy advice, to fully assess the implications of the changes that have now passed. We will continue to advocate responsibly, stay the course, and navigate the path ahead as we approach the next State Election on 21 March. With the election now only two months away, the opportunity to hold elected representatives to account is both timely and important.
> In the lead up to the election, we will be working to secure clear commitments that support the survival of our culture, our sport and recreation, and the practical conservation outcomes that governments themselves seek to achieve.
> We have listened carefully to member feedback and have worked to provide as much accurate and timely information as possible. A consistent request from members has been for transparency, specifically, clarity on how elected representatives voted so members can make informed decisions at the ballot box.
> Accordingly, the following Bills have now passed both Houses of Parliament:
