I went out to cut spars but first I went to check out two spots where there were some falls I want to sort out and put the logs up on a frame off the ground to dry properly. I took the new adze and it works really well to carve out a level spot for the vise and for brushing out around what I want to cut. I will probably buy a proper one but its fine for now. The head stayed on, more or less and the length of the handle is really good and the back of the head has a hammer that you can hit tree trunks and tell if they are sound. I pulled out some blackberry shoots miles from anywhere. The old suit works well, is cool and keeps the flies and mozzies off me when I work. I should finish the new one and make a pouch for my hiby although I probably shouldnt because its not tactical to listen to music in the field, you should be listening out for signs of things that shouldnt be out there, like people.

back from the supermarket
got two cans of the forbidden sherbet drink
some hot sopressa, barossa leg ham, barossa roast turkey breast, and some mersey valley
going to have some cold cuts and cheexe for lonch

bet it's a jeet

cunt cant drive for shit. you can cut inside corners only when you can see up the road enough to spot a car coming. Also you should obey the corner speed limits. I call them out loud so i dont get sloppy. Really ought to get a dash cam in the ute.

Yes I deleted a negative post about nuro. I felt it added not very much to discussion and would cause shit stirring. If you want to shit talk to nuro tell it to him, preferably in a constructive manner. Honestly he could use it.

it was scanned into the adelaide depot at 6am this morning, so I don't know why they are so slow
you'd think they'd just get the pajeets to line up with their private cars and just fill the first car chock full and then send him on his way and fill the next in line etc
incentivize pajeet to be there at 6.30am

I went up the forest and mounted the pipe vise i got off that boomer for $25 to a log i carved out with the adze. I got rushed by a black snake on the way there and had to jump out of the way. My saw got stuck in a spar I was bucking but I could chop it out with the adze. Going back tomorrow to carve out a bit with the hammer and chisel because the handle gets stuck against the log. Everything works really well and I will make a couple of frames really quickly to lie the spars on to season out there. I will do that before I get the chainsaw up there and cut all the falls that are around there. Then I will take the vise to the next spot. Also worked on the last bulkhead on the canoe before I went. Lentils and egg pie in the oven for tea.

When times get tough I am known to pull on the old seagull costume and start swiping pastries and hot chip buckets in tourist areas.

Some of them might suspect that I am not a real seagull, but who would believe them? They keep quiet and go and ask for their refund.

I messaged my bank about not receiving any SMS notifications of deposits any more.
I think I am messaging back and forth with an AI. They keep making the same repetitive requests for information from me and don't acknowledge anything I have said in my replies, except to say "thank you for your last message" at the beginning.

Sometimes I will strap the old raven costume on and go around smashing crockery. They might think for a moment that surely I am too big to be a real Raven, but who would believe them?

I can see a discarded KFC box that has blown into my front yard. It keeps calling to me. I know it is unlikely to be full of untouched and still slightly warm wicked wings, but unless I go out and check, how can I be sure?

They are always saying sizzler is coming back. They are always saying Pizza Hut buffet is coming back. They will always say there is a sizzler or a Pizza Hut buffet still open in a far flung western suburb. But it's not true.

The bins are all out from the units across the road.
It's kinda funny watching people rummage through them for cans and bottles when I know there's an old bloke who picks them clean at about 5am.

What the fuck. Norwegian army's highest ranking officer is a major general penguin now? Or just at the King's Guard?

Every video games out there get knife throwing wrong on purpose because its not as cool or as glamorous as far as a method of attacking goes because of the ricochets making it something that can fail to do anything entirely.

 >>/980417/
I think i might be able to do dowel and hole joints to make frames out of spars. I should be able to carve a accurate dowel in the end of a spar and cut the hole in a log with another straight gouge and fit them together. Should be able to hammer in a wedge to make the dowel tight in the hole. I'm sure itd be called a rebate or something but I guess its never been done before. There is nothing on youtube about it. just fags using workshop routers and shit I wont have out in the forest.

He has a whole playlist of 78 videos on green woodworking, there might be something worthwhile.

I am not into rustic shit. I take a makita battery drill I bought specifically to pack into the woods. I also have a large supply of fasteners that I can set with a long allen key. Stainless steel no less. The principal advantage I am trying to leverage out of doing my woodwork out in the forest is the abundance of wood, not the larpy thrill of making a spoon I could have brought from cutlery drawer.

 >>/980425/
i saw that triangle joint and I dont think much of it. It looks weak and crude. I know about your whittling hobby, you would shit if you saw what I have to work with, and the forest I have right here. I'll be fucked if im not gonna sparmaxx like i'm spartacus maximus.

need another half hour sleep, can't get it. Might try and have a morning nap, if that doesn't work I'll do the tasks on my list that don't require any strong thinking, have a midday nap, and do the hard stuff in the afternoon

UK has age verification laws
https://www.ofcom.org.uk/online-safety/protecting-children/age-checks-for-online-safety--what-you-need-to-know-as-a-user

The USA seems to enjoy it to
> 2025 was the year age verification went from a fringe policy experiment to a sweeping reality across the United States. Half of the U.S. now mandates age verification for accessing adult content or social media platforms. Nine states saw their laws take effect this year alone, with more coming in 2026.
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/12/year-states-chose-surveillance-over-safety-2025-review

So unless you're in either country / states of country, you shouldn't have to hand over anything.

Pro tip: Cheap cologne is a good way to add flair and class to your arson jobs. I use Davidoff: Cool Water, you dont need much if you find some flammable material at the site and it hides the smoky smell when you go down the pub dry creek bed for a drink with your bros as an alibi after.

 >>/980554/
No, I don't.
It came with the cable and a cheap caliper and lever. Upgraded the lever and caliper and the cable sleeve ferrule/end cap doesn't fit. Measured old and new with vernier etc. I could just cut the cable sleeve ferrules off, but that is dodgy and would piss me off to know it's there.

one of my chisels has to come from Germany before I get it sent out from sydney. I get the other one which they had in stock. Genuinely excited to be getting some Evropa steel. Hope borderforce doesnt think its a machete and seize it or something.

Did a bit more on the last bulkhead. Had to cut it back a lot but hopefully the cloth will adhere okay.
I have to put some bog on the inside where the hatch will go, to level out some spots. I could have used silicone but whatever. The refurbishment is going very slowly because of this dicky bulkhead but I am confident it will work. Lentils and sardines for tea. Had that bath I missed yesterday. Feeling a bit better.

I've been watching the Sean Connery Bond collection and the last one I watched "You Only Live Twice" when he was onboard the submarine he closed one of the bulkhead doors and the entire wall rocked back and forth, it remimnded me of old doctor who episodes with their wobbly sets.

Bone Temple was a great moofie. Even though it got a little bloody and the jump scares were scary. Could skip whole blocks especially the retarded woke epilog at the end. Ralph finnes steals the show and does a cool dance and its fun as fuck. Kicked ass on the one before it, sadly I hear there is not a third. Misty and cool evening and I got the ugg boots on. Cracked rib is a little bit better. Going to bed now. Good Night NEETs.

Just read that the fire at coles was on monday, apparently 3 young boongs set the cleaning products aisle on fire and then today they lost power to all the freexer sections and had to empty them out.
My local coles is cursed.

One time back when I and Cruisey were Viking raiders back in 932ad we were on a raid to England and had just found a wealthy looking church, the perfect place to loot for spoils.
We had just set the back of the church on fire and were preparing to slaughter the townsfolk as they fled when Possum showed up and informed us that we were not actually vikings, that it was in fact 2026ad and that we had just smoked too many drugs again and set the neighbours shed on fire.
And he was right.

post a picture
what do you need it for?
I have a little watch battery powered taco that shoots a lazer at whatever is spinning and gives a reasonably accurate answer. Fatherbot used it for measuring prop speed on his model airplanes

 >>/980865/
there is nothing to see, its a LCD screen with two buttons. you put it next to your chainsaw and the coil discharging triggers it. You need it for tuning your chainsaw at max revs. It doesnt appear to have a battery compartment you can access and I am getting into it so I cant play around with it right now, even if I had a chainsaw.

His professor wanted to put him in a mad house, because he was clearly having a psychotic episode but Nuro says this was professional jealousy. Luckily the Psychiatrist doing his review had the common sense not to question him. lucky for the psychiatrist, that is

Basically some guys from the airplane club rocked up to collect most of his RC plane stuff and said he had also told them they could have his lawn roller and rotary hoe and a couple of other things. They took all that shit, never offered any money for it, and we never heard from them again.

 >>/980886/
One of the guys went through the apprentice school at weapons research with him, so I presume the info was correct (they had no way of knowing of the existence of the lawn roller and rotary hoe), but it still left a shitty taste in my mouth. Mum wouldn't have asked for, or taken, money, but they still should have gone through the motions.

Can you convert a old style RC plane to a FPV wing? maybe with a flight controller, a video feed and some relays to power the servos that would already be in the thing. Some of them would be big enough to pack a hefty battery for a replacement engine.

The 65# longbow I bough from Jim Park at the Indoor Nationals circa 2005. It still holds the longbow flight record of 417 meters/456 yards. From memory he used a 330-something grain carbon fiber arrow.

 >>/980942/
I recognise a lot of the materials and methods. You dont just set out to make a bow, you must make the things to make the bow first. I did all that and it was a long process that needed a lot of improvement. The whole "art" to it aspect makes me think that with some proper calculations and modelling the sadly inefficient primary design could make huge gains. I suppose thats what the compound bows address. I dont like them. I like the aesthetics of the straight long bow but its efficency is shit. I never shot the bow I made. i was into making arrows too and that's almost as much work.

might chuck it in. go do some more on the canoe and make some popcorn. Got eggs I need to eat, might make a crunchy omlette with sunflower seeds. Shid I gotta get milk from the shoppe. You neets want what?

 >>/980947/
> i was into making arrows too and that's almost as much work.
I bought a dozen cedar arrow blanks and made a set of arrows with bodkin heads and proper feather flights (purple and yellow). I just about cried using them the first time and smashing one after a mong shot. So many hours down the drain.

They're watching the boongs.

I got you some onions and you can have a bit of milk and flour. Didnt make eye contact with anyone especially the guy wearing hi viz getting mogged for class by two thoroughbred dogs on leads. Shouldnt have gone at peak time but I needed the milk. Having some crackers and blue cheexe. Might do some thinking for a bit.

I had some avocado toast and some almonds but I am still a tad peckish. I am unsure if I should wait for a bit or if I should have some Greek yoghurt. I need to lose weight so I should wait but I am impulsive so we will see.
