> The exact course has not yet been finalized, but RCS Sport is investigating several notable changes. For instance, there is talk of a double passage over both the Civiglio and the San Fermo della Battaglia. This would result in multiple passes through Como and an even tougher and more spectacular finale.

lol as if it wasn't easy enough for pogi

These are so funny. We have a few of these post-tour crits in Denmark (Hadsten, Herning, Charlottenlund), but as far as I can tell they're all actually contested like an actual race. Must be a bit of a shock whenever they manage to rope in a forrinner.

> That, in turn, sparks indignation from Greg LeMond, himself the overall winner of the Tour in 1986 and a compatriot of Armstrong. He disagrees with the famous former cyclist. “Lance didn't have his talent; he 'found' it at 28. Pogacar won his first Tour at 20. Everyone talks about wattages, but some people are naturally born with a high VO2 max, and that has nothing to do with someone who has a low VO2 max and wins the Tour de France seven times ,” he stated vehemently to L'Equipe.
Oh nonono

 >>/109664/
I realise what you're saying, but a lot of it just makes sense that it would pop up if you're a pro endurance athlete regardless. Lots of normal people never bump into those issues. They just live with them and it's never a problem for them. Plus some of it is inevitably caused by the toll it takes on their respiratory and circulatory systems. It's not that weird.

> But after reviewing the result, both finished at the exact same time – just as the men only minutes before. This meant a repeat of the men’s race with double gold awarded as defending champion and pre-race favourite Julia Ehrle from Germany, who also won the world U20 title last September, finished third.

Listen.
I was never on board with the current trend of single-coloured, muted designs. Insist of some amount of pattern and ideally some colour. Local sponsor, local manufacturer, good soda, plus I like the deep green on its own. Would be nicer if it didn't have the other sponsors, but can't have it all. It's a fun kit, idc.

Hope you don't suffer mechanicals like I did on my 300 km ride.
Lesson I learned: Don't just fuel as if it's a 100 km ride 3 times. Going that long means depleting your reserves so you need to be eating more. Didn't exactly bonk but the final 3 hours weren't super pleasant. Lot easier if you're not planning on bringing everything with you.

 >>/109689/
did not get the hours in that I wanted due to circumstances last week in France plus wanted to tick off the 300km+ marker as I wanted to do an ultra somewhere next year, little test ride

not running Di2slop should hopefully help me, in any case there's always a trainstation nearby - also plenty of gasstations on the route which I plan to raid, caffeine only in the final 1.5hr of the ride

I'm going black or grey or khaki green plain t-shirt with matching polyester short shorts, black or grey short socks and black shoes.
Sleeveless tops and minimalistic sandals if it is hot.
I am dabbing into shirts and nicer pants and leather boots but these are clothes for like 3-4 months in the year, I don't think I am retiring the Slav special of aforementioned t-shirts and shorts any time soon.
We shall see about polos but I need them to be nice but unbranded, no Tommy Hilfigers or Fjallravens.

> According to Holm, the absence of Van Aert from Visma | Lease a Bike’s Tour selection is an advantage for Vingegaard. “Jonas is more prepared than last year. Moreover, Van Aert stayed home, and that is an advantage for Vingegaard. There is now only one leader in the team, and that is him. Jonas is getting all the attention,” said the former team manager.

> Thomas Soen, our man on the ground, witnessed it all from the front row. “I showed the finish photo to the press officer for the Tour of Denmark.”

> “He frowned and called over some officials. At that moment, the press officer for Visma-Lease a Bike also came over. She pointed to the photo on my mobile phone.”

I was a small flame war with other -acks, null hypothesis was that there is nothing to see here about these doper records falling by at least a minute.
I gave them the ol' rounder wheels treatments with some examples, but I kinda quickly run out out of ammo for the most ridiculous dopage examples, got Wout on Hautacam, MAL, the Colombians, Horner, Paduni, Lafay but that was kinda it in quick access memory.

Give me some of the other unforgettables, I didn't mention Poels, Kuss or McLay ebike because this would be haram tinfoil.

I looked into it heavily once, it seemed very good but I couldn't find a good seller in Belgium and put it on the backburner. My conclusion was if you but it with a plastic footplate you could easily do a wide range of strength training on the go.

Good for limited space and equipment, good for stretching and targeted exercises, accessory exercises, a meme in terms of being an all in one gym solver, a meme for compound exercises like the big tree of bench, squat, deadlift.

90% chance he's a scam, expecially when Narváez can and will win this with 0 help, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta for your boys

Maybe he can finally win a TT (who am I kidding, even if he's in decent shape, he'll lose by 1.3s to a random Romeo/Sobrero/Chutefield/Chesmann)

 >>/110353/
There is always one random FDJ on the verge of being good, but ultimately not being able to get quite there because... they ride for FDJ.

Russo, Pacher, Rochas... All could probably be a bit better somewhere else at the cost of losing their Certified Squeaky Clean^TM status.

How would you rate Remco's season? I'd say it's already his 3rd best ever after 2022 and 2024 (good arguments for both being his best).

I think I'd say it's his best ever if he manages to win the WC somehow. But I really just don't see how he'll manage to catch Pogi off guard when the latter has figured out that the best way to deal with the WC chaos is to attack with 100 km to go.

 >>/110396/
I wouldn't rate it that high.
I mean Amstel and donosttia are nice but they aren't monuments . He also hasn't won any WT stage races this season. Yes he has a whole bunch of high profile podiums and it may sound harsh but remco is a winner and this ain't it.

 >>/110500/
He's wasted time with crap calendars and meme-tier preparation for some GTs that yielded little or nothing.

Think about it, from 2022 to this year, all the stage race preparation he does only produced results thrice. Vuelta 2022, Tour 2024 and Tour 2026.

Of course he's had his fair share of bad luck with covid and crashes. But I really think he has missed out on some doable achievements. For example, I think he could've won Lombardia in 2023 if he prepared differently. Pogacar was super vulnerable in that one.
