> Yana Seel has stepped down as CEO of cycling team UAE Team L’IMAD, the women’s team of UAE Emirates, ahead of the Tour de France Femmes. Multiple sources have confirmed this to Wielerflits. Before the start of the second stage, the team was secretive about Seel’s absence.

where will /ourgirl/ end up now

 >>/110612/
because they still believe that they can win with their own rider in a sprint, panicking and closing the gaps without daring to gamble on having to make SDWorx work

most women barely do 1/3rd of the strengthwork Wiebes does so even if SDWorx is forced to ride i am pretty sure she still gaps them

 >>/110618/
it's weird because sdworx was completely out of riders today and then someone in the jayco car thought:
< today is the day paternoster beats wiebes
the only ones that have ever beaten wiebes fair and square were weightmaxxed kool and balsamo

 >>/110636/
> where he hopes to be able to assert himself physically and psychologically to take the first step towards the second half of the season and to be present at Vuelta with ambitions, because he misses winning. But if it had been his own to decide, I'd rather be on the Tour de Burgos

adjusted out

 >>/110667/
hit a pothole, then the front derailleur refused to shift to the big ring + everytime my right pedal hit 12 o'clock there was a loud metallic noise, which ended up being the pedal scraping past the front derailleur (it took 20km to figure this out, thought it was the BB)

tried fiddling with the screws to adjust the position which semihelped as it fixed the scraping but FD still refused to shift up, tried adding a link to see if it would go but that didn't fix it either

brought the bike to my LBS, who pretty much said i needed a new FD since i nuked it by scraping past it so many times - good thing i've got other bikes for now

I got Completionist+ in Balatro. Took me about 150 hours. All the other achievements combined was only like 100. So 250 in total. Only Completionist++ left but I don't know whether I am able to do that. Would double the playtime again probably

All jokes aside, what, in august 2026, is the prevailing explanation why why Pogi is so far ahead of the rest of the athletes in this sport?
Genetics?
I mean like what does the majority of people who understand this sport think?

 >>/110764/
Ive been in several discussions with local competition riders (who imo take themselves way too seriously) who act like stung like a bee when i bring up this question. The only answer ive heard from two annoying girls is
> since we are athletes too, we know what it takes and its unfair to him (pog) to deminish all his training etc.

 >>/110771/
Also if it IS genetics, than what kind specifically... like he clears lactate faster or his vo2 max or something with his blood/lungs oxygen carrying capacity. And why did this apparently change so much in him over the last years? All kinds of interesting questions come out of this simple question: what is/could be the explanation?

 >>/110768/
well there just is no mainstream explanation or if people explain they say talent aka genetics and that's truly it either way but nobody knows which part of genetics that is which is what you're asking. Is it naturally way higher vo2max, way less lactic acid production or just stronger response to dope or something completely different. Nobody knows and there's no point in asking that question anymore so nobody in the media does either.

 >>/110773/
> Nobody knows
Is also interesting. Maybe pog himself and UAE dont know either. Which could mean we dont understand a very fundamental thing about our sport. Like for instance with Messi is hard to quantify, but not impossible, how his leg-movement-spacial awareness is top notch, better than most and equal to only very few if you only go by number of succesful passes for example. That is some sort of explanation. But with pog we dont even really have the direction in which to look, it seems.

 >>/110827/
I have a pair with those. It's very occasionally useful (primarily for BIG rides when all storage is welcome) but mostly just there, harmlessly. Wouldn't use it over any other available storage location but when it's there, why not.

 >>/110775/
biology phd bert here, studies have tried to find alleles that improve athletic performance, but it's incredibly difficult because any given gene variant might be only found in a handful of athletes (or even just one), so you don't have the statistical power to make a significant finding; so, Tadej might have some allele that's just in his family that confers massive endurance capacity but because only he has it within the study pool, it won't pop out among all the other uncommon alleles that every individual has

Why the FUCK did Visma sign Jakobsen when he is arguably the worst world tour rider at the moment!? Unserious team. Next news will be they bought out Buchmann's contract from Cofidis.

 >>/110881/
> Your response that you cannot compare the transfers of Roglic, Kuss, and Piganzoli in any way with the impending transfer of Fabio Jakobsen is a bit of a simplistic view. There are more similarities than you think. Visma Lease a Bike is not the richest team, so they do not look for the most expensive riders. They look at how far they can take a rider with certain potential with their approach. Whether that is an unknown rider and promising talent, or a well-known rider who is (struggling) to return from injury. We can assume that they certainly base their assessment on the physical values of the rider in question and work with those to get the best out of him. And no, this is not a guarantee of success, but it certainly deserves respect. You surely cannot deny that.

straight from the wielerflitsers themselves, sit yourself down chud fabby will win

sunny
in the morning I encountered a group of wild boars on the road that was scary, half a minute of standoff ensued until they decided I smell too bad or so. Commuting here is an adventure, in the morning it's nice and chill but half of the rides have random happenings and in the afternoon I either smash and/or fry like an egg in the pan

 >>/110881/
probably on a contract salary of 2 schnitzels (zonder bier) for 1.5 years, if he does something and they can fix him its a great asset flip, if not who gives a fuck

anyway its not like theyre not used to having dead riders in the team

> "It was a step backwards": former French sports minister Marie-George Buffet admitted that her department had stopped unannounced doping test

They should do the same with seixas until he wins

> It was a step backwards": former French sports minister Marie-George Buffet admitted that her department had stopped unannounced doping tests on the French national team before the 1998 World Cup, after an initial test that caused an uproar,

Correct quote

This is why Volta is my least favorite Velogame.

Of course all the berts here larp like they're spending their spare time watching pirate feeds of Portuguese semi pro races, but we all know it's just a meme. It's just a meme and it needs to STOP

I HATE THE VOLTA

 >>/110928/
Nice! Did you do that 3-10min max effort yet to find your W'?
For me some SST on the TT bike, 15+20+15+20min with short recoveries. Legs are starting to feel quite good in the TT position finally. And the daughter started kindergarten yesterday so perhaps life stress will finally go down as well so I can start training properly.

 >>/110933/
> Did you do that 3-10min max effort yet to find your W'?
no I gave up on that, I would need to do another ftp test aswell because I lost 8 KG since the last one in march, down to 71kg now and the ftp seems to have dropped tiny bit to 290ish

 >>/111050/
yea sure but thats not normal. I think a guy like pog optimizes for power and not aero because side by side with remco you see he could be way lower but doesn't so he can pedal better.
But these guys are basically sitting only a bit lower than on a road bike so there's gotta be something going on imo

26°C right at sunset after a very hot day feels a lot less comfy than 28°C in the sun mid day 2bqh. The oven heating everything up all day beats a mid tier strength sun in terms of discomfort - I was wondering about that some time ago and now I have certainty
