I thought the GT battle was good but the problem was they never had the incentive to fight for the stage because the teams are so weak they kept letting 60 riders get away.

There needed to be more stages like that one Mas won.

> To be honest, I didn't feel particularly good all day,” he says. “I think I was a bit too fresh. Maybe I haven't done enough in the last few days.” Yet he stepped up when the race was broken open in the final. “I thought it might not be the day I could make the difference. But in the end, I was pretty strong. I'm happy with that
> “I think there is still room for improvement. At least, I hope so. Maybe I’m wrong,” he laughs. “But I already rode a good race on Sunday and hope to improve even further heading into the championships. In any case, my form is very good at the moment.”
Doesn't sound good for grug & co tbh

 >>/121011/
Oh wow, that must have been a pleasant surprise.
At least you were insured, I am not thinking about it yet, but since a few months I am always locking up my bike when I leave it in front of a market - for years I didn't bother because for years a post about a stolen bike was a rarity, there has been a visible uptick in these since a year or two.

Been at a local village fest yesterday, started parking and locking up my bike, but I am seeing any of the 20 bikes is not even slightly secured, most just laying around, some of them nice.
Civilization hasn't arrived there yet in their little shire, lucky bastards.

 >>/121013/
Yeah home insurance is wonderful here, covers all bike thefts. But then there's no insurance company in Finland that will cover bikes damaged in a race or training, which is odd.
Here bike theft has been really common for 20 years even though otherwise everything's as safe as it gets.
 >>/121014/
Yeah you feel awful at that point, like there's not even real value there, but you just want to use your bike
 >>/121015/
Heh, they probably scoffed at the cheap flat pedals

 >>/121027/
but he must've had multiple different sizes and the chain's gone too
possibly a couple different hex and metal shears strong enough to get through chain and cable but too weak for a lock. What kind of thief runs around with an arsenal of hex keys and shears but no bolt cutter s m h

looking at the cloimb on strava it's a three and a half minute effort which in itself would be grug territory but not with this many reps, he ain't got that in him. Lets face it he's done and should not be named again anywhere

I just rewatched the finale of the Grand Prix of Canada.
And it was really MCNULTY who was first chasing SEIXAS during his final attaque. Only when MCNULTY parcheggio totale did DEL TORO ride and covered the 200 meters gap in like 15 seconds. Total paranormal stuff.
We all owe our landwhale Jose Beam an apology.

 >>/121068/
I am not crazy! I know he swapped those riders. I knew it was Mcnulty. Two after Del Toro. As if I could ever make such a mistake. Never. Never! I just – I just couldn’t prove it. He covered his tracks, he got that idiot at Eurosport to lie for him. You think this is something? You think this is bad? This? This chicanery? He’s done worse. That attack! Are you telling me that a man just happens to close a gap like that? No! He orchestrated it!

Finally pigged for some AI loicense, ate a whole 5hr limit on Astra GPT to see how it puts together velodatabase.
But at least it is on testing part, a bit unnecessary but wont hurt.

 >>/121071/
the evolution from tismberts excelsheets filled out manually, to automated database containing a 6th column to AI. velogoomblin is more relaxing now that it's automated by AI, but where's the soul believing in jobbers and frauds having a good day?

> The road season isn't over yet for Florian Vermeersch, but the Belgian is already focusing on the upcoming Gravel World Championships. The UAE Emirates XRG rider hopes to defend his title next month (October 11) and is willing to go to great lengths to do so; he has to cover the cost of the long trip to Australia himself.

lol, our country can't even afford a plane ticket anymore bros, it's over

> Progress is finally being made, as the PCC has approved the principle allowing organizers of national stage races to introduce an “extra distinctive jersey for the best rider from the host country,” according to a press release.

> In practical terms, this means that the organizers of an event like the Tour of Luxembourg could soon introduce a leader's jersey for the best Luxembourgish competitor. The specific conditions for introducing this jersey have yet to be determined; this will happen at a later date.

been consuming further malaysian/cambodian/whateverthefucktheyare fixie content, click on one and get fed a dozen you know how it is
it is distinctly different from and vastly superior to korean fixie content (gay), which has also been popping up of course.
these guys focus on athleticism and power and hitting 55-60 kph on the flats while the koreans (gay, shit tier people) only focus on turbo slurping semen and showing off their bikes (mediocre, flaccid)

 >>/121115/
there isn't a lot of money in iceskating, even for the top top riders, if you're able to farm (in her case) millions off brand deals instead and focus on content creation it's the better decision financially every single time

> ~17min 5K in the spring
That's like permanent knee damage for me. My fastest is like 22 minutes but I only run 10km or more most of the time.
I'm not good or fast by the way, I was just burnt out on cycling for a moment and doing a 10 miles was z good dkstraction

 >>/121119/
Never tried a 5k but in the military I did 3200m in the 12min run test with no prior training, so I assume my cycling fitness would get me pretty far today. But then with no running background going that fast would probably just injure me like >>/121120/ said. Gotta progress slow in the beginning etc. And my running economy is probably quite shit.
 >>/121120/
I see! Running's pretty fun though, that's the important part

 >>/121128/
hmm yes I see, a 3 year contract for gall. Even with Skelly and Ayuso they could split the grand tours between them since we now know that none of these guys can do more than 1 gt a year. Gee is useless and will be relegated to fodder.
We can expect further mediocre results from this team hurray

I recently fell in the south belgium side of woutism and they're even crazier than flanders

Remco: FUCK W*UT. You have no chance fat loser

Freely interpreted but true

> In major stage races, the leader of one of the four secondary classifications is identifiable by a specific leader's jersey, but an additional, distinctive jersey is likely to be added soon. The UCI announced this in a press release. In WorldTour races (men's and women's), ProSeries events, and UCI .1 races (men's only)—where four leader's jerseys are currently permitted—the new rule makes it possible to introduce a fifth leader's jersey for the best rider from the host country.

> After all, I came sixth in the Tour de France, which is a relatively good result, I think. As far as I know, no one else on the team who is here right now has had a better result in the Tour. So there is no one who can take that role from me yet, says Skjelmose.

gall doesn't strike me as someone who wants to be thrown into the tdf meatgrinder where it'll be very hard to even get 5th in the next half decade or so. Pretty sure he's fine with skelly and ayuso wasting their time there kek

> “We will never agree to a transfer for Henrique,” comes the firm statement. “He is happy with us. We discovered him and found him a home in Spain. We have invested heavily in him. He still has a two-year contract, and the terms are clear. As far as we are concerned, there is absolutely no room for discussion on the matter.”

> “We can always make a spot available,” states Foré. “I actually spoke to him on the phone for half an hour last Sunday. Besides, what difference would it make? Pinarello-Q36.5 isn’t a WorldTour team either. We have mapped out the schedule for the next two years and discussed it with him. That includes races like the Vuelta a Burgos, where he can ride as a protected leader.”

meanwhile I'm riding without powermeter atm and think about keeping it that way. Also pondering an mtb build but it's annoying and I don't feel like having 3 bikes, the gravel sadly has too much use to be discarded. Decisions decisions

Only reason I had him is because johan bruyneel talked about him in his yearly show “up and comers”. Most young sensation those last few years he predicted sometimes a long time in advance. Terrific scout.

Heh oh well. It's the sports club of my student organization, we only did "practice" once a week and then a tournament once per year against other organizations. > The thermoregulation system is designed for temperatures between 8 and 18 degrees Celsius and will be expanded later in the autumn with products that keep you warm down to -5 degrees Celsius.

> To handle fluctuating temperatures, the Italian brand uses UF Hybrid Shell fabric. This fabric blocks the wind without the use of a membrane, thereby preserving the garment's breathability and moisture management. Thanks to a body-mapped construction, varying fabric thicknesses are applied exactly where they are needed most, while freedom of movement is maintained in high-exertion zones.

I get it, but you will still need actual humans to crack the problems before models can reintepret them and ride away with them.

The solid but specialized and unremarkable guys will have a much harder time.
