> How many watts would you like to lose by poisoning yourself Sir?
> yes.

 >>/124878/
I may be getting old and/or gay but a bunch of tomats and lettuce wouldn't hurt.
Otherwise would dislocate jaw to ingest.

 >>/124876/
a moderate flood warning? so basically just rain?

 >>/124878/
I cannot comprehend this. Is it only beef and egg?

 >>/124883/
Pastrami Reuben (Russian dressing, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut)

 >>/124884/
hmm ok I could probably comprehend such a sandwich if it was served to me

 >>/124884/
Looked a bit like it for my yuro eye, there is a place that makes some offbrand reubens, they're okish, the bun is two slices of bread, just too expensive (over 10 amerieuros) and nothing to write home about.

 >>/124886/
You would be SHOCKED by the cost of this sandwich. (It really is more than enough for two people, I just had half)

 >>/124887/
I know someone that once went to katz delicatessen and he told me some prices
dios mio

 >>/124888/
Where do you think I took that picture

This is what happened here on wednesday, but I don't think tomorrow should be like that

I have no doubt I'd be wide eyed in old New York, but in Polska restaurants went to the moon with prices during covid and never went down, even in my smalltown.

For ten bucks you can get a full good quality meal, not an unremarkable but nice sandwich, or a very good pidser or just say fu to some loser who wants to rip you off by not paying that.

And now they are trying to force US-style tipping culture.

eh you can get similar poison for similar price here
come back when it's $100 and has toxic sauce or something else that'll make it stand out

 >>/124896/
like those expensive hotsauces that are calles analdestroyer or whatever
80 dollars a bottle

 >>/124896/
what is poisonous about pastrami and bread?

I'm going to New York in novembre for a conf, what food should I try?

 >>/124888/
on the trein the other day I overheard a conversation, where a guy told the other guy that he flew to New York with a friend just to eat at one of the fancy restaurants and it cost them 2000 Swiss Francs (the official currency of the UCI). what made it funny was that they just picked up something from McDonalds to eat on the train (which I hate because it smells).

 >>/124899/
I could give you recommendations for days...what are you looking for? Also, staying in Manhattan?

 >>/124900/
That's got to be bill for table or with some ridiculous wine. Most expensive place in city is Masa at $1k. Even the other Michelin 3 stars are like $450

Nothing too fancy, just >local food. The conference is close to Washington Square Park so I'll stay in the area

 >>/124904/
will you go for laps around central park?

 >>/124902/
they went to the Swiss guy who does Vegan only from time to time. I need to look up the name.

 >>/124903/
Yeah, all my trails are 100% dead for 2 weeks at least

 >>/124905/
Maybe run

ok, the name of the joint is Eleven Madison Park. might be that the price he mentioned included the flight and accommodation.

 >>/124904/
Well that area is very well served by subway so easy to get around to other parts of city from there

Minetta Tavern is right there and is classic NYC spot
John's of Bleecker Street, Prince Street Pizza, and Rubirosa are great pizza spots in that area

Eleven Madison Park. I've been there twice. $385 pp plus wine, tax, and tip.

 >>/124911/
big money spenda

 >>/124912/
The /cyc/ office pays me far too much. Bertina and I like fine dining, we try to go somewhere really nice like once a quarter. We went to EMP to celebrate her starting a new job and then again this year when they had a special dinner with chef from Central in Lima, Peru (which was the place that turned us on to fine dining in the first place).

 >>/124911/
Yeah I'm not spending that for someone trying to emulate french food

 >>/124913/
to each their own

 >>/124914/
I wouldn't say it's French at all. Focuses on locally grown products, mostly vegan.

Basically all the French places in the city have French chefs like Le Bernadin, Daniel, Jean-Georges etc.

Any place with good beers? Like wild type?

 >>/124918/
Because he's in my velosqueak

 >>/124919/
FYI NYC is not much of a beer city. Near Washington Square Park, Blind Tiger has a good tap list

 >>/124921/
there must be some Belgian place called Leopold that serves fries and duvel in NYC just alone for the diplomats at the UN.

 >>/124917/
the powless redemption arc starts NOW

I remember the brewery "ommegang" being in new york, they had some good sours
