> go on a quick ride in running shoes, no clipping in so no helmet
> don't even push too hard, just focus on smooth pedal pushing movement
> beat pb on 1.5km segment by 10 seconds
> wind almost none, whatever moved the blades of dry grass was moving towards me face

Maybe I have never learned to pedal properly.

this just screams someone who has no understanding of how fast the peloton is moving. like sitting down on an f1 track because your too stupid to realize that the formulacage will turn you into a thin mist if it hits you

While all the focus is on Ayuso's frankly hilarious behavior this Vuelta, we need to take a step back in time to Sunday in Brittany for another edition of /WORLD TOUR WINE/ (cider) !!

I had actually picked a bottle of Muscadet from the far NW of the Loire Valley but was able to find an actual Bretagne cidre on sale near me (these are not common in the US). American cider tends to be either a brownish, musty drink if it's non-alcoholic, or a sharply acidic bright and sweet drink made with added malt liquor if it is alcoholic.

AVAL Gold Cider ($4)

This is made from bitter and bittersweet apples, grown by a cooperative of farmers in Bretagne. This pours a pretty, transparent deep-honey with moderate effervescence. The nose is late-fall red and yellow apple. The palate has a lovely tannic quality to it, off-dry. The fruit has fading ripeness, not quite cooked or oxidized.

It is certainly more interesting than most mass-produced ciders but it doesn't wow me. I would be very interested to try something truly artisanal from the area.

> The 40-year-old Briton crashed into a traffic sign, among other things. He suffered a tear in the pericardium during the collision, which was discovered at the hospital. His wife, Michelle, told The Times that it was a life-threatening situation. "It was clearly much more serious than a few broken bones. Chris is doing well, but his recovery will be long. He won't be able to ride his bike for a while."

I can't believe they still go on about getting back on the bike. Mental illness at this point

> Uproar before the start. According to various sources, several teams suggested to the organizers that Israel-Premier Tech withdraw from the Vuelta. This was for everyone's safety, following the pro-Palestine protests that had already led to several dangerous situations. The meeting between the ASO and the team representatives ended quickly. With Israel-Premier Tech in the peloton, the unofficial start was three minutes later than scheduled.

I did this quiz. One of the answers is Jan SERPENTI. That can NOT be real. I have NO idea who most of these assholes are

isn't Britain in the Portuguese time zone? why is their race over so early? they don't start working until 10 in the morning and stop working at 5pm. what a lazy people on that island.

> Due to incidents at the finish line, the official times for the GC will be taken at 3km from the finish line, there will be no stage winner.
thank GOD I'm actually outside riding this very moment (I post as I climb)

 >>/40781/
I dislike Israel as much as I dislike Palestine supporters so I wouldn't hate this solution. The issue is these people aren't Palestinians but far left Europeans so they'll simply move on to the next trendy thing to protest about when this conflict subsides. If you let them cancel things as they please we will never see the end of it.

> Speaking to TV2, the red jersey wearer elaborated on the protests. "This might be the last time we'll have a stage winner in this Vuelta," he openly speculated. "It's unpredictable what will happen in the coming days. I hope we can keep racing, because this is the wrong place for them to protest. What do they want from us cyclists? I can't do anything," the Dane concluded.

it's over

 >>/40818/
so whats the plan, have every stage finish somewhere along the route and only announce it mid stage so the protesters can't gather there? Or are they really letting these cunts cuck us out of more than half of the vuelta

Well I'm a j*w hater as much as well I guess all of us but kicking a team out of a race they've been invited to/allowed in because protesters start sperging out and start endangering the peloton is stupid and sets a very bad precedent. Means you can cancel stages or entire races because you drum together a few dozen to a hundred people and start fucking around with little to no consequences. Don't like seeing Pog win for the 500th time? Start charging. You can probably get 5000 drunk Pog haters at the tour.
If you want to ban the team from races for political reasons like Russian teams beforehand that's another thing but if you kick them out now that's cucked and bad simple as.

What is this.
A very tayeured in a French way chink with an Italian cadence and ending words with a short '-a' plus clear far east Asian lack of letter L.
This is way worse than a nigger with an Irish accent.

 >>/40859/
Sylvan Adams is a scheming jew and these retarded protestors play right into his hand. Now he looks like the good guy defending the sport's integrity and advocating for rider safety. If anything the protestors remove the focus from what Israel is doing in Palestine.

> Posts (some of which are already several days old) are circulating on Instagram announcing new protests. The group "La Sierra Con Palestina" (literally: the mountain range with Palestine) wants to organize new protests during the final weekend of the Vuelta a España.

> The protests will take place on the twentieth stage, which finishes on the Bola del Mundo climb, and the final stage, which finishes in the center of Madrid. The movement is urging people to bring flags and banners. "Let the Israeli team know they are not welcome! Show us, make us heard. Everyone take to the streets for a free Palestine!" is the unmistakable message.

> *** Board are sorted by Unique IPs over the previous day (not 3 days) and then PPH and because of that, this is only updated once every 24 hours and does not include tor or transparent proxy users.
39 unique users post here? I thought we were like idk 9 or so

> Not only Adams defended Israeli policy in this way, but his riders also share that opinion, the team boss suggested. "Everyone who rides for us knows what the team stands for. Anyone who doesn't sympathize with Israel wouldn't be riding for the team."
kek some good stuff surfacing now

Oh no, as the great American philosopher Kendrick Lamar said:
I don't need the attention, bring enough of that on my own

Oh you're asking lightheartedly.
Getting drunk, getting back to Quake 3, watching Orange County Choppers and other shit. Lance has just stopped driving too.

I will be probably putting on Cinturato Velos once my Hell of the Norths give in.
Looks like a great tire in terms of puncture resistance, gives your road bike some gravel capability but without stressing out for rocks like on a normal one.

> That hint hasn't come from the teams yet, says Impey. "We even feel a lot of support. And the riders from the other teams? Some support us, others don't... In the CPA WhatsApp group (the riders' union, ed.), Matteo Jorgenson is the most vocal. Maybe you should ask him what he thinks," Impey says sharply, starting at 1:16 in the YouTube video below.

> "We're a sports team and we don't make politics, but apparently, it's gotten to this point for him," Impey continues. "He's basically saying we should leave. Is he perhaps the king of the Vuelta?

> Maybe he can add something to it." With that question, FloBikes approached Jorgenson himself. And the American from Visma-Lease a Bike was, to put it mildly, not amused by Impey's words. He's referring to messages in a private group among riders. I find it inappropriate to make that public in the media. That clearly demonstrates his stance.

based jorgenson calling them out

Just opened a vid with the knife collection of that goofy tall hardass from Alaska who made rather hardcore outdoor videos, sleeping under a blanket in under torty or forty celsius and all.
I have a fucking multitool order laying in the post office since a week. Luckily it should be there for one more week so I can still pick it up before it goes back.

Angry Lou + squads for GP Industria e Artigianato are up for the next goomble.
UAE send their whole zoomer bunch, Astana send all their usual suspects, Tudor is hoping autumn Italian races Hereshe will start showing up.

Kek, no wonder these protestor feel so safe, he's basically asking them to continue

even if all ten of the spectators who will watch the race live lined up in a row they wouldn't cover the whole road. more likely that omar little accidentally finds himself crossing the road in front of the onrushing pedalton

Look at this from Angliru 2002. TerminAitor ready to betray SEVILLA. Two teammates behind them, one with dopage hair and a menacing looking bald guy but I don't know who that is. Orange guy is Iban MayoGOD and the Milaneza dude is probably Fabian JEKER. That team was GOAT with also Claus MØLLER and Rui SOUSA. Now THOSE were the days

 >>/41157/
< Various media outlets are reporting during this Vuelta that Israel-Premier Tech will continue under the name "Premier-Tech" starting next season. Team director Sylvan Adams denies these rumors. "Fake news. We will never race without the name Israel," the Canadian said via Israeli Sport5.

 >>/41244/
It's the easiest form of soft power because it requires no skills and no effort. It only requires money.
It's probably also less effective than movies and other media but it's still better than nothing. If your country is only known for wars or human rights issues it's good to dilute that image with other stuff like sport teams and world cups.

When I hear the name UAE the first thing I think of is cycling. I still think the country is a soulless, new money, Arab dystopia but I'm sure there is some psychological effect from thinking of a sport I like first.

 >>/41244/
It does work though even if its just on a subconscious level. Makes your brain connect the country or company with the positive feelings and connotations you get from the sport.
You gotta see how futbol stans suck off the billionaires who own their clubs (Chelsea - Abramovich) if you need a more direct example

Fun story from Jacky durand. He was at lotto when they had to ride angliru and back then they needed to put triple front chainring. The team didn't have enough so he had to ride it 39*28
