Something interesting about the wildcards situation.
Not only is cofidis getting booted out of the world tour by UNO-X they're also close to missing out on being one of the best 3 proteams if totalmemergies wins the GC in Langkawi

MVDF, Qwab and /pinot/ have the same team, almost adjusted in Jappe for De Lie to be the fort but I remembered almost every single late adjustment I have made was a desaster so time for me to not adjust and turn out for it to be desaster move.
I do hope De Lie has a such jet out of his ass and Jappe had it easy to look good in Vuelta.

me sparkly new g*rmin told me I have recovered enough to ride for an hour today but the weather is very good so I want to do more
think it's safe to risk some extra minutes bros?

Looks like the last stats may be fucked because goombleman immediately switched the selectable riders to Emilia.
I will fix that at some point, shan't allow my last few goomble posts to be torbedoed like that.

Does any bertman follow a training program, I know finbert has a coach but anyone else that makes their own schedule?
I kinda want to dig deep this coming vine season but I'm used to riding on feel

ATTENTION EVERYONE

I have an announcement to make.

I have officially given up on tubeless. It's so fucking messy and I still get like one flat a year because I never remember to top up my sealant so it's always just a dried out wad in the tire that isn't doing anything.

I have switched back to tubes (TPU tubes specifically for some reason no one makes latex tubes with long valves).

Thank you for your attention to this matter

 >>/47857/
yes sure the key phrase for what I did is 'polarized training' you'll find tons of free info on that for example https://youtube.com/watch?v=yZnrf_Nwvpk

key takeaway is that you when you go hard (10-20% of your total ride time) you go really hard with vo2 efforts and other than that you don't do much hard riding (tempo and above) at all. For me at the start I did intervals on 2 days a week until I could handle. Usually 1-2 easy days in between the hard days, which and how many intervals you want to do on hard days is up to you and I don't think it matters much as long as you destroy yourself.

 >>/47863/
While this is kinda grim I want to advise you against running tires like conti gp5k S TR with tubes because they have so little puncture protection that disintegrate when a sharp edge looks at them. If you want to run tubes I would only run tires that are not designed with sealant doing all the work in mind (normal gp 5k for example)
t. someone who runs gp5k s tr and had 6 (sealing) punctures in 3k km kek

I think they ought to change that the avatar automatically rides out of the saddle when you score high w/kg because it just leads to every avatar constantly riding out of the saddle in this race and it looks goofy when they bunch up

I wholly recommend getting a good coach. My current one is Marinus from Kilowatt coaching, but Empirical Cycling has lots of great ones as well. It's a game changer for training for sure, I've been very happy paying 300e a month.

 >>/48004/
In all seriousness you test ftp so you have a baseline to use for pacing of any kind. So if you underestimate your ftp by like 10% and try to pace intervals off of that you may end up going too easy which leads to less or no gains while overestimating leads to going too hard so you blow up prematurely or can't do many reps of whatever effort you want to do which also leads to less or no gains.

I assume you want to lower it because you struggle with completing your efforts so in that case its actually a good idea to maybe take 5-10 watts off the target if your ftp is overestimated and you can't complete training at all

 >>/48013/
I got connection failed during posting and when I refreshed the page it 404'd on the .net domain and on .org the upload simply got stuck at 100% on the reply form at the top and nothing happened. The .net kept 404'ing and .org kept not uploading until it started working fine again after a minute or so

Stopped buying their most expensive pass (never used it to 50%, was just chipping in for a local business) for a month when I decided to get a corporate sports card and here we go, desaster strikes.
I did rough estimates in me head a few times, doesn't look like they have made a lot of profit since like the covid years, that's when I started coming there.
That's not their only business, that's why they didn't shut it down earlier.

The equipment is pretty beat up, besides some sentimental value I'm sure there is little of worth to pick up, outside of heavy stuff I have nowehre to put. In my smol flat there's no point in putting even a raping machine.

Plus for all sniff arounders like me, I am sure it won't be that hard to identify which gym is it, not going to dox me anyways, pretty sure about that too.

 >>/48032/
 >>/48036/
Just single kettles and not all of them are there, the interval is 2kg but if I remember 8kg, 10kh, 16kg, are missing.
Told the boss guy once that these are missing and I am pretty sure they are not on the fitness hall, somebody probably took them.
Somebody indeed took them.

Paypigs make the world go round and the big guy (a chain of service providing franchises for instance) can get away with more.
Guess it will be going to a franchise gym for me soon.

But I have good news for meself, my old outdoorsy goretex softshell is still good, I can still pull the zipper on it and it is good and tight enough for a bike, that means no ridiculous paypiggery for a bike only jacket.

there's no way roglic will ever work for anyone but himself
bora will start the tdf with a remco-roglic-lipowitz trident, they each have a free role and will only ride from themselves (remco DNF, roglic cracks and lipowitz will finish 12 minutes behind pog on whatever place that gets him)

Dammit was thinking of Bernal but then decided against him, oh well. Still pretty good goomble
Also decent 5x4min low cadence workout, around 60rpm for all the efforts. Unfortunately had to cut the endurance portion at the end short due to the wife having pregnancy sickness and needing help with the toddler

I have only noticed him when it was already G1 time. Luckily I have already switched from EULALIU who will be probably good in Lombardia but didn't rate him here.
That HINDLEL asshole on the other hand.. will again probably be good in Lombardia.

Not really. I think I have one bottle of Bordeaux that someone gifted me.

I have mostly Burgundy, Beaujolais, and Loire. Some Jura and Cote Rotie.

Local shop has a cool looking bottle of Cornas at a reasonable price, going to try that today I think

I really think it shouldn't be that hard for the chasers to at least halve the gap between each hill if they actually worked but remco is at the front for like 80% of the time and probably also the only one even pedaling decent watts
road cycling is so annoying like what the fuck is that from seixas and scaroni

Memco doing his classic playlist rundown:
1. Follow a superior climber and blow up.
2. Settle in a G2.
3. Seethe at fellow G2ers.
4. Do a few good pedal strokes on flat and ride away from group.
TODO:
5. Seethe more at meta, won or not.

> "I had hoped for more, of course, but sometimes you just don't have a good day. Maybe it's because of my busy schedule or maybe I'm just not in good shape. I was already suffering on the first climb. I thought it would get better, but when the pace picked up again, I realized it was too much," Vingegaard told Feltet.

> Despite Vingegaard's unsuccessful return to one-day racing, he remains hopeful for the future. Even before the European Championships, the Dane said he'd like to ride more one-day races in the future. He maintains that. "No, I'm definitely not losing hope."

> "It just depends on how you prepare. I didn't have the best preparation for the European Championships. I participated to see how my legs would react and to represent Denmark. If the preparation is good, I can really compete in these races," he concluded.

someone take away his copium please

 >>/48537/
lord knows, he's starting lombardia but lets not kid ourselves he didn't even ride for anything in the lidl tour or the canadian races. I doubt he'll ever even try to ride 1 day races he's just going to do a vingo, stages races -> tour -> bye bye

how are you supposed to velogoomble all those jobber races this and next week with the startlist being published 5 minutes before the race starts?
and I hope there won't be a goomble for Guanxi, although winebert still has to juggle down some Chinese wine form temu.

the Jonas excuses are much worse the the Belgian Remcopium:
> he has not trained
> he has not been enough on the bike in Denmark (kitchen doesn't remodel by itself)
> he has not taken it seriously
> Vingegaard Convinced of One-Day Capacity Despite Euros Implosion: ‘I Can Compete for Victory in These Races’
> “I’m not losing faith in the one-days,”
> “I have to admit that I had to take more time off the bike after the Vuelta than I had hoped,”

gotta love it when hunters use the > I thought it was an animal bro! card when they shoot a cyclist/runner/hiker/kids on a playground
we all know you couldn't control your urges to shoot a human being dude nobody's buying your excuse, > dog ate my homework tier shit kek. This 17 year old boy looked just like a squirrel wow really that's either a very small and nimble boy or you have super sized squirrels over there

found this 1 week old UCI press release, I should have paid more attention:
> The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that the UCI Disciplinary Commission has decided to suspend the Portuguese Team APHotels & Resorts - Tavira - SC Farense, for a period of 20 days, starting on 23 October 2025 and effective until 11 November 2025, in accordance with Article 11.3 of the UCI Anti-Doping Rules
this only happens with bertao teams lately.
