> Picnic PostNL is entering into a partnership with Oofos, a company specializing in recovery through footwear. Oofos will supply recovery slides to the Dutch WorldTeam. Riders will wear the slides after races, at training camps, and during recovery moments off the bike. Given the date, Picnic PostNL emphasizes that this is not an April Fool's joke.

this will save jakobsen

Up to 50% sale in my local bike apparel shop
Stuff like Castrelli is still ridiculously expensive even with the discount
I should probably get that /cyc/ winter jacket for next winter season though, currently I am riding only in long sleeved jersey, merino t-shirt and super thing rainstopper and when it gets to like 5 degrees i am freezing

No idea. Genetics?

Well sumo is very diverse. Besides Jappos there are Mongols from Mongolia, Mongols from Russia, Mongols from China, Mongols from Kazakhstan.
And then occasionally they have others, when I started to watch in 2020 there were a Brazilian, a Georgian, and a Bulgarian. Amateur sumo is fought all over the world.
The larger Ukro, Shishi is in sumo for many years now, he is 29 afterall. Took him a long time until he rose the ranks to the top division. Aonishiki is way younger, 21, but he also in Japan since 2020. He is more talented than Shishi, but smaller, he holds the ozeki title, which is champion, just below the yokozuna (which is essentially a permanent ozeki title).
From the top of my head I can't name other gaijins. There's bound to be some in the lower divisions.

Pogacar: You sent for me?
de Vlaeminck: Yes, I did. You're good, Slovene, but you're not that good. You could be magnificent.
Pogacar: I'm required to attack, so I attack. That is enough.
de Vlaeminck: That's enough for the passes, but not for Milano-San Remo. Finally after five months of scratching a living in altitude camps, we're finally going back to where we belong. The Poggio. Oh, you should see the Poggio, Slovene. Fifty-thousand Berts. Watching every movement of your bike. Willing you to make that attaque thermonucleaire. The silence before you strike. And the noise afterwards. It rises. It rises up like - like thu- - like a storm. As if you were the Cannibal himself.
Pogacar: You were a rider?
de Vlaeminck: Yes, I was.
Pogacar: And you won Milano-San Remo?
de Vlaeminck: A long time ago, Eddy Merckx presented me with a rudis. It's just a... a wooden bike. A symbol of your victory. He touched me on the shoulder and I had won.
Pogacar: [laughing] You knew Eddy Merckx?
de Vlaeminck: [Angry] I did not say I knew him! I said he touched me on the shoulder once!
Pogacar: You asked me what I want. I too want to stand in front of Merckx. As you did.
de Vlaeminck: Then listen to me. Learn from me. I wasn't the best because I attacked like a retard. I was the best because the crowd loved me. Win the crowd and you'll win San Remo.
Pogacar: I will win Milano-San Remo. I will give them something they've never seen before.
de Vlaeminck: [laughs] So, Slovene. We shall go to Milan together and have bloody adventures. And a great whore will suckle us until we are fat and happy and can suckle no more. And then, when enough men have died, perhaps you will have your victory.

In terms of goombling this has had miniscule meaning, the gaps are negligent for a Cat 1 race.
Only one doing really bad is Burgerbert who was definitely lachéd from G1, /pinot/ and Bért also weak but not disastrous.
Our other Bért did very well with his Pogless but Pidcockful team.

4/cyc/ already made fun of this race being in Belgium and not in Iowa as the name would suggest. In the startlist I found the following team
> MAT Atom Deweloper Wrocław
Kurwabert managed to get his employer (source: I made it up) to sponsor a womens cycling team to create the next kwabsia

Lmao, just saw the finale. That was one of the most ridiculous things I've seen in cycling. How do you chute just before the Cipressa and just get back on at the bottom of the climb, with only a spend McNuggets and Del Toro to lead you out and yet you still smash both climbs faster than last year in way worse conditions... Insane.

> Je suis venu ici tellement de fois m'entraîner... À chaque fois, vous risquez votre vie parce que le trafic sur les routes italiennes est parfois un peu "criminel", même si je ne veux offenser personne. Ils construisent de belles pistes cyclables et peut-être que dans quelques années il y aura une belle route côtière mais cela demande beaucoup d'efforts
Top kek, exactly my reaction. Did one loop in Italy from Nice once and said "fuck it, never again"

I use le col's "deep winter" base layer which is warmer than I expected, but the material is kind of fragile, which sucks. Way more expensive than it should be also - only buy if on deep discount. I'm sure there are other, better options.
An insulated spring/fall long sleeve jersey on top. I have one that is wind proof and one that isn't.
A gore shakedry (rip) jacket is my prized possession though. Being able to stuff it in a pocket is incredible. I don't know what the closest current option is. Usually kept in the pocket for emergency rain or while fixing mechanicals. For wet or really cold days I'll ride with it on top of everything else.
For bibs I have yet to find something truly good for cold/wet. Best I have is Sportful fiandre tights which repel water some amount, but are no warmer than your average long bibs. Maybe some form of vingegaard-style layering is the solution here, but it's probably the least important part to keep dry/warm so I manage.
Most recent addition is Lake CX146 boots. They have essentially done away with the need for overshoes, which more convenience than essential really. They don't have vented soles like my other shoes though, so water ingress is way less. They're not properly water proof though. In a harsh shower they'll still let in more water than I had hoped.

Very, very based. Muscadet has to be the #1 bang for buck wine in the world. Keep your eye out for Domaine de la Pepiere. Briords is like $24/btl and is insane.

We are entering La Paulee week in NYC which is the High Holy Week for winos. Cyclisme going to take a backseat to Burgundy this week. I have a ton of great bottles lined up plus the La Paulee tastings plus dinners. We're reaching levels of hype we didn't think possible.

Big ride today. Unfortunately had very bad legs at Sa Calobra, stopped completely at 10min and almost threw up, after which I did some SST-LT1 to finish up. Rest of the ride felt much better though, might've needed some openers before this or whatever. Anyway, good solid eggs and elevation, spectacular scenery. Only problem was waiting for mates.

> Canyon recorded a seven percent decline in revenue in 2025 compared to the previous year, reports Bicycle Retailer and Industry News. The German bicycle manufacturer speaks of a difficult market, particularly due to a surplus of bicycles and heavy discounts. Demand was under pressure especially in the segment of electric and non-electric mountain bikes and city bikes.

well who's supposed to buy their bikes if certain """people""" decided to fuck with the global economy for fun and the market is oversaturated with mid to highend bikes
not like canyon has any advantage over what everyone else is offering, on the contrary they are obnoxious with proprietary cockpits

 >>/72918/
hmm yeah XXL looks like it's around 60cm that's definitely 190cm+. However if we look at this beautiful picture >>/72782/ it would need A LOT of spacers/a positive stem angle/riser cockpit if the position is to stay the same because 2XL canyon endurace has 414mm reach (almost the same) but 656mm stack (63mm more) and he's running spacers. Actually I don't think matching the stack is possible I mean imagine 6-8 cm of spacers or something hallelujah

 >>/72919/
imo main advantage of running is that weather doesn't matter hehehe. I'm not much of a runner in fact I only ever ran for a couple months to train for one race but that stuck out the most
> rain
doesn't bother much
> wind
doesn't bother much
> cold
you're never cold
> fog
irrelevant
> sun and heat
tan time
> snow and ice
okay thats annoying unless you have shoes with really good offroad soles maybe
> night
no problem
