C64 Reloaded MK2 Available from: 21 Nov 2017' Please log in to subscribe to product related news. 184,95 € Preorder We are currently preparing production. All components are either already in stock, or have a confirmed delivery date. The set delivery date has a safety margin, so first deliveries are likely to leave before that. All orders placed and paid before december 31st, 2017 will be served. There will be no shortage. We are prepared. The Commodore 64 Reloaded MK2 is a C64 Motherboard for building a C64 on your own. The board is shipped with empty ZIF sockets for the key chips such as CPU, port chips, sound/video chips. All other components are already assembled and pre-tested before shipment. For building a C64 computer with this board, you need to supply the key chips on your own: * CPU 6510 or 8500 * two pcs. CIA 6526 or 8521 * video chip 6567, 6569, 8565 or 8562 * one or two sound chips 6581 and/or 8580 As opposed to the first C64 Reloaded board, the C64 Reloaded MK2 will automatically identify the installed chips. It will not only generate the correct clocking, but also set the right voltages for the chips that you have chosen. Further, it configures the filter-capacitors for your favourite SID combination. This means that the Commodore 64 Reloaded MK2 is a completely jumper-free design.

"Archive your Commodore floppies (and CMD HD partitions) to your contemporary PC, without the hassles of external parallel ports, IRQ settings, special adapters, bulky cables, or the alphabet soup of disk drive cable adapters. ZoomFloppy replaces all X*-1541 cables with a simple USB-based hardware device guaranteed to work with today's machines using today's multitasking operating systems. Simply plug into any free USB port, connect your CBM drive via a serial cable, and transfer data to or from your software collection.
Attach any CBM serial device to your PC, including printers
Works with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux
Open Source solution, no vendor lock-in
    Active development community
Minimal footprint, no external power supply needed
    Parallel access hardware support
NOTE: ZoomFloppy requires an IEC cable (sold separately), an IEEE cable if using the IEEE version and targeting IEEE drives (sold separately), and a USB to mini-USB cable (available at many computer stores)."
64NIC+
http://store.go4retro.com/64nic/
"Your Commodore 64/128 machine can join the growing ranks of Internet capable systems by installing the 64NIC+ Ethernet interface. 64NIC+ offers inexpensive Ethernet connectivity and more. Based on the Crystal CS8900 10 megabit Ethernet interface engine, the interface emulates the popular RR-NET solution as well as the NET64 and TFE systems...64NIC+ allows the Commodore user to experience online connectivity in true 8-bit glory. Play online Ethernet games, telnet to your favorite BBSes, Twitter from your Commodore!
In addition to Ethernet capabilities, the system also includes an optional on board ROM socket that can be loaded with up to 16 cartridge images. With the appropriate ROM, the 64NIC+ can autoboot and load your favorite games and utilities via TCP/IP, no disk drive required."

RR-Net MK3
https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/en/shop/product/rr-net-mk3.html

"RR-Net MK3 is the direct follow-up product to the popular 10MBit networking cards for the C64 that we've provided for over 10 years. Other than previous announcements, we've decided to continue using the same ethernet chip that we've used on the two predecessor models: The Crystal CS8900a. That means: All networking software that is already available for the C64 will work on this new networking card out-of-the-box: Contiki, Codenet and WarpCopy can be used in their current versions without the need to wait for any update! With RR-Net MK3, we're answering the calls from many C64 users who wanted Ethernet, but refused to buy a "carrier card" that features the clockport that was previously required for operating one of the predecessor models (for example Retro Replay, MMC64, MMC Replay or Chameleon). The result of this new development is that the new design can be used in two ways: You can either connect it to the clockport of a carrier-card (exactly the same way like the predecessor RR-Net MK2), or you can plug it directly to the expansion port of the C64. If plugged to an MMC Replay or Chameleon, you can still close your cartridge case. For plugging directly to the C64, our cartridge cases cannot be used. There are 3D-printed cases available for a much higher price. One added feature of this new design is the 8k flash rom. This is used as a startup-ROM if the unit is plugged directly to a C64. If you plug RR-Net MK3 to the clockport of a "carrier card", only a few bytes of the ROM are available - just enough to store the MAC address of the unit, and put an end to the constant guessing that you had to do with the predecessor models. Further, with modern switches and routers checking the MAC address for security reasons, RR-Net MK3 will identify properly as a legit Ethernet device. Pictures show the prototype of the unit. Actual appearance varies: PCBs are blue, LEDs green (link) and yellow (activity), and contact fingers are gold-plated. Package only includes RR-Net MK3 and an instruction sheet. Software not included, but available for free download. Using the RR-Net MK3 as a cartridge without carrier card does not work with C128, SX-64 and very old C64 mainboard versions."

"This is a demonstration of the 1541 Ultimate II Plus Ethernet. What I demo here is remote controlling the Ultimate, playing SID files, cart images, mounting and loading disk images, and transferring files via FTP. I also cover setting up the telnet client PuTTY, and also do my bad impersonations of C64 SID tunes! Not covered in this video would be accessing the Internet from the c64, as that functionality is not yet available for the U2+.

Commodore 64 Ethernet card WarpNET (RR-Net compatible)

"Nicknamed "Project WarpNET" - this homemade Commodore 64 RR-Net compatible Ethernet card was built around Olimex CS8900A-H a low cost development board with the popular Cirrus Logic CS8900A-CQ3 Ethernet controller. and 27c256 eprom with 4 bank 8k cartridge suport. Why project WarpNET? Just power on Your C64 and You are ready to use WarpCopy and transfer disk image files to Your 1541 disk drive or from it to Your PC - no hassle with set-mac or loading WarpCopy of the floppy disk - neat :)

This homemade C64 Ethernet NIC is compatible with all of the software written for popular RR-Net card.

WarpCopy after exomizing and converting it to cartridge image fitted nicely into single 8k bank. You can populate the rest of the banks with any software You want (that can be fitted in 8k rom ofc).

I was mainly inspired to create WarpNET by a project back from 2007 called FB-NET:

Presentation Slides, PDFs, Source Code and other presenter materials are available at: https://github.com/cppcon/cppcon2016

The Commodore 64 was released in 1982 and is the best selling computer model of all time. At 34 years old, even the most simple embedded processor today outperforms it. Join me on an exploration of how C++17 techniques can be utilized to write expressive, high performance, high level code for simple computers. Together we will create a game for this aging system.

You'll leave the talk with a better understanding of what your compiler is capable of and be able to apply these ideas to create better code on modern systems."
