8chan in general was probably the most unrulecucked website with any reach (sometimes to its own detriment). /cow/ during the internet blood sports saga was hysterical, same with Christchurch or when the /v/ board owner mark leaked sonic mania. endchinz existed too, but it wasn't even near to being a center of attention.
youtube until around 2017 was fucking awesome, before everything started getting demonetized and the site started removing features (the visual side getting raped goes back to like 2010-11, but at least the content was still fine) and generally the algorithm got raped to just feed you total slop most of the time.
the age verification ID shit is obvious, i remember when websites actively discouraged you from using anything relating to your real world identity, it started changing with facebook getting popular, in case of youtube the first big change in that regard was google+.
i think the 'cord bit is self explanatory, no walled garden niggery, and somehow far less peadough groomers than now, despite stuff like lolisho being completely normal snca at the time, fucking pewdiepie of all people made a reaction video of boku no pico.
no short form coal like der 'tok either.
don't ask me about stuff like 'blox, doe, i always considered it babbycacashit and played counter strike and tf2 with my friends instead. minecraft was popular too but i could never get into it.

doesn't mean you still can't find cool content or places on the web for yourself (like this one), but it's significantly harder.
