Oh I wanted to add in my post that if Macross Delta is anything like the last Aquarion that it's going to suck ass.

Highschool bullshit at least looks like it has a cool protag. Mechs are probably going to be the usual lame 3d fare but again that goes without saying.

Kiromoroko (if that's the right spelling) is done by PA Works it might be promising.  Strange people are getting involved with mecha even though it's dead. 

PA Works who usually does slice of life and Vanilla Ware who usually does fantasy side scrolling videogames.

The main robot is really cool, the battles were alright, the production quality was up there, the characters were fun, the music was go shiina. 

For original mecha series this decade it already beats the shit out of A/Z.  Words could not express how much that series pissed me off.

I didn't watch S2.  I thought Slaine killing the annoying Relana 2.0 and fucking egg-kun was so satisfying after Saezbaum lost to them in his kick as machine. I just couldn't take it learning that magically they'd be back to annoying the every loving shit out of me for another season.  I decided just not to watch. 

Seriously fuck that show.  Sauzbam was the only character that had any good backstory and earth winning because of this idiot who had less life in him and more stupid plot armor gimmicks than amuro 0079 was pure dogshit.

Inaho and Slaine being enemies was so ham fistedly handled though. Then in S2 the show shits itself entirely not knowing what to do with Slaine. Also I'm not gonna lie, I ALMOST liked Inaho, there were a few moments when character almost leaked out.

In my honest opinion the show's pacing is the biggest culprit more than anything. None of the twists and turns are delivered appropriately.
