This guy hit is right here, ZOE, specifically ZOE2. It's not like M.U.S.H.A. where the mecha could be replaced by another unit, it had to be a mecha and it had to be something wild like an orbital frame.  What a kick ass game. 

Off the top of my head some of the greatest are bumpy trot, the front mission games, any of the half dozen assault suits series, the first GitS game, trone bonne, and some old system classics of which I'll only name Metal Storm.

MGSV's missile IFV and fully upgraded D Walker is awesome. So TECHNICALLY MGSV, but only once you climb the giant grind wall.

Yeah if you play the whole game with walker it's a killer, and I mean KILLER mecha game. 

It's so fun learning it's intricacies and it's modes and has great sound affects and a cool loadout.  You aren't kidding brother, MGV with walker is a hoot.

They're cool games but they're a bit of a pain in the ass to play if you worry about getting a good rank. For example ZOE has these parts where you have to avoid collateral damage.
