Recently, I found about a site called https://39chan.moe/
It is an imageboard dedicated to Vocaloid and related topics, similar to /miku/. They've been partly inspired on our board, back when we were in 8ch. It has its own history, but its current incarnation is very recent.

I contacted the staff the other day and I've been made part of their moderation team. Nothing here will change; /miku/ is still its own thing and we'll keep the attic going no matter what.
That said, I invite you to check out the site. They have a variety of boards and a radio. They are open to suggestions, including things such as the events and MMs that we used to do.
I'm not so sure how to feel about this. I've grown to really hate image board culture and don't want anything to do with it anymore. It seems like there's some rules in place to prevent some of the usual issues, but it honestly still leaves a lot to be desired for me. I'm also pretty upset that a whole different website was set up, with the knowledge that our own community existed and no one even bothered to make a single post here.

Maybe I'll try it out and see how it is, but a lot of my opinion is going to be formed simply by the rules that the head moderator puts into place and if they're actually enforced.

Although they're different from us in some ways, their culture resembles /miku/ much more than they do 4chan/8chan. Like I said, they're open to suggestions. If you have any but don't want to ask them directly, you can also let me know and I'll tell the staff.
Still, it is perfectly fine if you don't want to join them.

They couldn't find us. A lot of /miku/ users don't know that we have a backup board here. In hindsight, I should have made this place a bit more obvious, but I was afraid of raids and unwanted attention from 8kun users. Also, even though posts are visible in the frontpage, this board itself isn't indexed, which makes it even harder to find.

> I've grown to really hate image board culture
As the board owner said we're doing what we can to make this site its own thing rather than just 4chan/8chan for people who like Vocaloid. We recently created a hidden containment board for degeneracy/trash posts that don't exactly break the rules (similar to sushichan's /superhell/ board). So far I think we're doing good, but we'll do our best to combat the usual cancer that plagues imageboards. If you have any feedback let us know.

39chan is not /miku/ nor is it meant to replace it so I didn't exactly think of promoting it here. I would also hate it if this place stopped existing, I'd like them to coexist as their own separate hubs.

I've only ever posted it on sushichan, which is the only imageboard I frequent. And I guess it just spread from there. The site was posted on 4chan recently, but people on our site aren't very welcome of those types.

I know about the board since the 8chan days, I just prefer to lurk. (⊙ _ ⊙ )
