He won't be shutting down. Stream recently ended, he's putting it to a vote as to whether to fix and use Vichan, to switch to Lynxchan, or to try to salvage Next (wasn't a popular option). He also proposed running multiple test sites or something.

Most likely going to be deploying Lynxchan. It's the most sane option at this point, especially because he's let everything progress to where it has now.

That's what I've been doing, 99% of the /monster/ community is there. Same for my other niche interest boards. People don't want fragmented communities when they're already small man. You'd have better luck if you could convince a lot of the populated boards to leave at the same time.
