The rate of oil refining at slave refineries due to Ukrainian strikes will be reduced at least until mid-2026, writes Bloomberg with reference to the monthly report of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
According to the Agency, due to the constant attacks, the processing of crude oil in the slave industry decreased by about 500 thousand barrels per day. According to the IEA forecasts, the volume of processing in Russia will be slightly less than 5 million barrels per day until June 2026, and then recover to 5.4 million barrels per day. The forecast will be revised as more information becomes available.
Since the beginning of August, Ukraine has delivered at least 28 strikes on key slave refineries, increasing the range of attacks, which led to a shortage of gasoline in a number of regions of Russia and in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
